The Chapter only covers the northern half of Elsweyr, please rename it to Northern elsweyr as Reapers March and other parts of Elsweyr are part of Elsweyr.

In some places like character selection screen, zone guide and treasure maps it's already called Northern Elsweyr. It's like they couldn't decide what to call it and just chose both.

Does this mean, there is no Tenmar Forest in Elsweyr ? O.o
I definately expected to see this and I didn't know we only get to see half of Elsweyr.

Morrowind wasn't called just "Vvardenfell", so this is kind of old news. Also calling a big chapter (which they use for advertising purposes) "Northern Elsweyr" isn't as sexy as just "Elsweyr".

*Edit: I just realized you may have just been talking about on the in game map, in which case I agree. Though it should be called Anequina.

On the global map it's Vvardenfell. Nobody asks to rename chapter, just to rename zone so it fits already existing content.

Most of the time, it's called Northern Elsweyr already - loading screen, Zone Guide, Quest Journal, in-game dialogue; looks like they just forgot to change the name on the map and the zone entry gates.

Anequina would be a reasonable alternative (and it says as much in the loading screen), but since "Northern Elsweyr" is directly used in dialogue, and Anequina would also include half of Reaper's March, Northern Elsweyr is probably fine.

So would "Northern Elsweyr". There's really no difference in meaning, Anequina is just the proper name for the northern part of Elsweyr.

I agree that the map and other references to the area of the world we're in should say Northern Elsweyr or Anequina, just like references to the island in the Morrowind chapter say Vvardenfell.

I agree, the Chapter landmass is the kingdom of Anequina, so it should be labeled as such in game.

In q4 they release an "Adventure" zone, like Murkmire last year. I am 100% sure that "Adventure" zone will be "Southern" Elsweyr, so by the end of this year we will have the entire area...hence, since this is a year long event unlike past years, it makes sense to call the chapter by an overall name.

The fact that all the Elsweyr maps inside the game are completely blacked-out at the moment is a pretty strong hint that what we are seeing in the chapter release is not the whole of the Elsweyr that we will end up having by the end off the year.

The zone does not need to be named as suggested and should not as there will be only one Elsweyr when this new zone hit live.

There is already precedence for the new Zone to be named Elsweyr and only Elsweyr. That is Craglorn.

The original Craglorn zone was not called South Craglorn as it was the only Craglorn in the game at the time so it would not have made sense, just as the idea suggested in the OP would not make sense.

Depend if the rest of elsweyr is added like upper craglorn or as a separate zone

Also it is called nothern elsweyr everywere(loadscreen, guild member location, etc) exept on the map so it wiil just keep consistency with the rest

You're most likely right, but if so, it tells us "Season of the Dragon" really means "We can make more money by splitting an entire zone in half to sell it as a Chapter and DLC."

We don't know if they are going to sell this year's Q4 DLC. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was given to those who have bought the Elsweyr chapter at no extra cost.

How many active players actually paid cash for Murkmire last year?

The original Craglorn zone was not called South Craglorn as it was the only Craglorn in the game at the time so it would not have made sense, just as the idea suggested in the OP would not make sense.

A big difference is that Upper Craglorn was clearly an integral part of Craglorn, there were always routes connecting the two parts, they were just blocked off, and the map itself was shoddily edited to obscure the upper part.
From what I've seen so far Elsweyr doesn't have the same thing going for it. There's no direct route going to Pellitine and the map leaves no space for a southern expansion.

Imo one of the reason they split Elsweyr into two is because they didn't want to run out of Khajiit material too fast. Like how they already squandered Altmer, Bosmer and Breton territories leaving no space for future expansions (besides Balfiera).

I have not played the MQ yet so I dunno if it implies visiting lower Elsweyr, like how lower Craglorn lead towards upper Craglorn.
But seeing how every DLC during the Daedric Triad era dropped hints about the next DLC location there's probably something hidden somewhere.
Is that all we get in Elsweyr??? It looks smaller than Summerset and Vvardenfell? And this is supposed to be a new chapter? :open_mouth::confused:
The explorable area is def at least on par with Summerset if not better. The space usage certainly looks much better.
If you are judging the zone's size by the amount of space it takes up on the world map then let me remind you that Murkmire on the world map is about the same size as Greenshade, which clearly doesn't hold up while exploring the zone.
