Would you change your character background if given the option?

The character selection screen isn’t the most important feature it is one used whenever you play and I think it would be nice to have a few more choices other than auridon, bleakrock isle or stros m’kai.

I rarely ever spend time in Stros M'Kai, so it just doesn't make sense to have that as my background screen.

It would be great to be able to choose our own - or if not, then the region of our primary residence would be infinitely preferable to what we have currently.

Honestly, it would be nice to even just have a choice between those. The only reason I ever pick Dominion over Pact is for the background.

I’d like to have optional backgrounds that reflect the class. Necromancer’s would be cool!

It'd be cool if the login background reflected the zone your character was currently in, or main quests that character was currently working on. The UI already provides this info, but I'd gladly welcome the variety of having new backgrounds on the character screen.

Like, change it per character race! Keep the flag per alliance, but... have "Bleakrock" for nords, give dunmer something "Morrowind", and argonians something "Black Marsh"... same for all the others...

Or possibly even further, allow us to set one homestead as official "home" for each character, and give a background picture for that location...

Like you said, not important but yes I’d change it.

There’s a character I’d like with a clockwork background because that’s his thing. Another with an Eyevea background and another with a Arteaum background would be nice too. Another should have a DB background and another should have a Valenwood background. Etc

because the story only makes sense if you play it in the order from the starting island.
Now if you want to do a write up in the character creation menu sure. but imo the game should always start in coldharbour, I do not care for new tutorial every chapter

This is regarding the location that shows your character where you hit play not the tutorials.

With performance being absolutely horrible I would think that that would be more on ppls minds rather than the devs spending time with something you barely see for a few seconds in the game.

That would certainly be a nice option.

I was just thinking extra backgrounds could also be achievement based. At least one per region, like if you earned the Explorer achievement for an area, you could use a background themed to that zone.

While it’s not the most pressing issue in the game by any means It does get old looking at the same three backgrounds though.

I've thought for a while a background of your player home showing some of your contents would be great. Although, I guess your mount may look a bit out of place if it's a place with no outdoor area, but I'm sure there would be a way of creating a bg of the home from the outside just for the single screen purposes.

I've nothing against it, I just wouldn't bother with it. It's just a loading screen on the way to the game.
