ESO promotes a divisive event as a celebration. The irony of it all.

It’s only divisive if you can’t do it and cry about it. No one who actually knows how to PvP and builds for it minds doing Cyro daily quests at all.

I don’t mind the quests, it was just the unsportsmanlike conduct. I’ve been pvping for a very long time.

Unsportsmanlike? What? Did they NOT ask your permission to kill you before you died?
    Hehehehe.

Look everyone comes to Cyro not knowing how to pvp and they die...a LOT. Every pvper starts that way. When someone labels themselves as a PvEer and comes to Cyro, they die a lot. So what. Dying motivates you to get better. Or it should.

There is absolutely no way to “adapt” to players that will kill you while you’re still unable to move while loading into a building

Stop supporting griefing, you know full well this isn’t because those players want to PvP

It happens. I got killed the other day porting to Sej. I arrived dead having been killed in the loading screen. So what.

Dude, did you not read my posts...I have said over and over that I was not bothered by being killed, it was watching a group of people wipe out atleast 8 or so people standing around a quest area, then each person went and tbagged every corpse. It was that that I found unsportsmanlike. I will reitterate a point from before: You don't shoot fish in a barrel and tbag the fish. It's just obnoxious behavior that effects how people experience pvp, some for the first time in this event. Not everyone finds it funny, not everyone was raised playing toxic first person shooters where tbagging became a thing. It isn't about safe spaces or any other buzzwords people are using for identatarian politics. It's about having your head out of your arse log enough to realize that what you do effects others, and that tbagging should stay between friends that know each other and already did that to each other, not people interracting with NPCs or on mounts. It's really not that hard to be courteous.

8 people just standing around. I'd have tbagged em too!

I'm shocked that players would kill other players in a player versus player zone. I hope you reported them!

Oh shut the *** up. You know as well as I do people aren’t PvPing, in this case, for the sake of PvP. They’re building the trolliest groups they can for the purpose of being ***. And I’ve been PvPing almost exclusively for three years. It doesn’t bother me. I can kill most people who try to kill me, often a few at a time, don’t give a *** about reward boxes really. I don’t even have time to participate much this week, but I’ve seen it in years passed . People go out of their way to be a pain in the ass during an event precisely because they know they can, that’s not PvP that’s just people who suck in general. I’d bet 90% of them aren’t even good and are taking this opportunity to feel like big shots. Although I will say I’ve enjoyed responding to a couple of calls for help. Last PvP event I went up and obliterated this magblade camping Bruma and bagged him lol. Man did they get salty lmao. That’s the kind of person who does this, one who can dish it out but can’t take ***.

PvEers are easy targets. They have no PvP gear and no PvP experience.

    They're in our world now.

Lol. It's kinda pathetic for a PvPer to bully a PvE-er, don't you think? They're not within your level. Probably not even geared/spec'd for PvP. Wearing divines (at the very least), and using PvE skills, with PvE CP allocation and mundus. They obviously don't stand a chance.

I suppose when you are a terrible PvP-er, and you enjoy this sort of behavior that's the only time you get significant number of AP. I suppose, events like this when PvE players have to go to "your world" is the only time you are able to kill anyone in this game. I suppose when you are matched with someone who was equipped for PvP, you can't even get someone down to 80% of their health. It's sad really, because actual PvP players don't tolerate this behavior. They have better things to do than try to "prove" to themselves that they are PvP players, by killing PvE players. lol.

PS I also suppose, this is the best time for you to rank up your recruit rank. lol. Grats! :D

Well, i hope after Elsweyr release there will be many pvp events like this one, cause unprepared pvers will be all that nbs can kill, and they need some ap too, don't they?

    The bad

Was on shor... had a ganker waiting at a quest area for goblins, just sniping all to see. I escaped but back tracked and sneaked up on them. We duel it a cat in mouse game. I head on the hills and eventually lost them... but it was only for a moment... the persistent ganker found me hidden in the rocks. We continued our dance with death with neither of us dying till we reach town. I ran through red controlled town and dodged behind a building to never see the ganker again.

    The good

Gave up shor and vlas after everyone came online... nobody liked a red that deep inside. Eventually went to Sheo had some trouble simply returning the quest x3 times. Killed by blues... killed by yellows..it wasn't looking any good. Till some EP comrades came to bring balance to the PvE truce. I came back to town and the all the harassing yellow was dead. MInd you they let the other yellows alone... they just brought peace back to the city again.

Heard a story about war going on with yellow and reds in crops... turns out a pet was attacking some reds. They eventually worked on the misunderstanding through a summit of /tells and went questing again together again.

I’m in Vivec RIGHT NOW. Some fool said “veteran” DC were messing with questers at crops. I went to investigate.

Those DC were NOT vet PvPers at all. They were PvEers no doubt or new PvPers. I PvP EVERY DAY and you get to know or at least recognize players on other factions. I didn’t recognize none of them fools.

The DC dummies spread THEMSELVES out. Didn’t focus ME. I line of sighted all around those fools. They were pugs.

It’s sad that there’s this whole PvE vs PvP players sparking up in VIVEC when it’s undoubtedly all PvEers and pugs lagging up the place. Take that crap to one of those new campaigns and let ACTUAL vet pvpers pvp in peace.

There is no good, there is only bad. I play shor every day on xbox. Usually its 2 - 3 bars at prime time with minimal lag, but with this stupid event it might as well be vivec. Unplayable. an absolute embarrassment and joke. How long will it take for zos to give a *** about pvp performance, and more specifically console pvp performance.

It’s simple really: if a PvEer isn’t attacking you at all and just doing a quest: don’t be an ***

If they do attack: self defense I guess?

That’s a negative, boss. Ya show up with the wrong color tag, you better attack or stand real still and die.

Don’t cut anybody any breaks. There’s no such thing as a PvEr in a PvP enabled zone.

Yes but why leave your usual pvp campaign to do this? I agree with your mindset in normal pvp, but going to the event campaigns to do this?

Did it ever occur to you that these players may have been pushed out of their home campaigns because of the influx of PVEers who are just there for their box farm? I personally have gotten way less boxes than I could have, because the queue times are insane on Vivec at all hours of the day. Even Shor is full of questers at prime time. Maybe, just maybe, if PVEers has gone to the event campaigns in the first place, instead of hurr durring and selecting the first two campaigns in the list...?

Yeah I was in Bruma last night at the start of the event. It was a sea of all alliances. People were trying not to hit each other etc. I go to another town and Slavery time I get near the door for the quest I get killed and teabagged.

This morning was much the same until the lonely red decided he wasn't happy with this plan anymore. He died a few times and then started just doing the quests.

I'm not a massive fan of PvP, however I know where I am but to have two such differing experiences in two towns and about 20 mins.

If they wanted pvp why didn't they just go to the dedicated campaigns, why go to the new temporary campaigns to do that...I mean I was in my full pvp armor and using my Former Empress title, I didn't look like a carebear...but dang did I rage like one for a moment to myself watching them acting like jackasses.

Some people like to feel better about themselves by killing the less experienced. Happens in every MMO

Yeah the best players should just stop playing, because every time they kill someone with less skill they should just feel shame.

the blame here is on ZOS.

Not only they have absolutely no idea on how to balance PVP gameplay (or how to make it actually needing skill), but they also actively allow griefing.

This would be easily fixed if they move all quest givers to outside of houses. Yet they decide to keep it like this and catering to the neckbeards that enjoy being POS against other players.

Oh well. Just another nail in the coffin for PVP in this game.

Move the quest pickup and drop off to the alliance base during these events. That way greifing is more difficult and a good number of them won't put out the effort.

The worst is the pvpers on your own side who troll people who are genuinely there for pvp. Some of us carebears get interested in the war and want to join so we type “lfg” or “invite to roe” with a sincere wish to help and get trolled by elitists that say things like “type potato for group” knowing full well there isn’t a group they just want to make fools out of people who aren’t regulars.

PCNA Ep solo/Zerg surfs. They small man with their buddies. Outside of AP and a couple guys who form pug groups at times Ep don’t roll like that.

Watch the map, go where the X’s are or listen to the call outs in zone. If you want the full Zerg experience roll AD. If you want a pale AD imitation roll DC.

Every single alliance has groups of each. Depends on the campaign usually but I have absolutely seen EP zerg with full groups and "type ___ in chat for group".

I've seen players with poor sportsman like behavior across all alliances during this event. Siege quest campers, extortionists, quest gankers, campers at quest delves, etc. I've also seen nice players across all alliances.

And @max_only yeah, it sucks when people on your own team are jerks. There was a group of players trying to extort a toll from questers in Bruma earlier today and one person from my alliance was not sneaking and going and standing over stealthed people in their own alliance so the extortionists could find them.
