PVP is not lesser than PVE, in fact it requires even more skill.
There isn't some step 1, step 2 etc. like in PVE, in PVP you need to actually adapt to the combat and act accordingly.

And I don't play PvP because I don't have patience for the bigger issues in there.

Ok, so you miss ~3 hours out of the 12+ that you have free because it's a holiday.

As opposed to missing 3 hours out of the 4-6 you have free, from maintenance on a workday. (since I constantly see complaints on regular maint days from people saying "OMG, why you take down for maint during our short amount of prime time!")


On top of that, it's Friday. And it's a hotfix. So if they don't do it today (because OMG HOLIDAY), then they can't do it tomorrow or Sunday (because OMG WEEKEND - WHY EVUL ZOS CUT INTO MAH PLAY TIME). Sooooo - you think a better approach would be to put off a hotfix for 3 days? Rather than missing a mere 3 hours out of a full available 'holiday' day?


Were you seriously intending to poopsock it, and play ESO for 18 hours today, and 3 hours lost from that blows your plans?

It kind of "blew my plan", since I had the opportunity to sleep a few more hours today and didn't get up until 8. I'm not a "professional player" (i.e. unemployed nolifer), but have early morning and come home late in the afternoon - so I try to get as much "quality time" as possible, with minimal "doing ESO chores" time.
Today was different, as it's a holiday. The few hours I had available now - before my son came home - would have been fine for running for the like +30 crafting surveys I have, making space in my bank/chests, selling stuff, look for stuff, making ready my new build and so on. But that didn't really happen, did it? And no, I'm not the slob kind of parent playing video games and ignoring kids, so don't even suggest it.

So well, I'll have to postpone that stuff for some later date; as I really don't feel like doing "ESO chores" later tonight when there's a PVP related event going on.

Then explain why when all a Player wants to do is collect Skyshards is always chased by PVP players with other PVP player around ignores theme just to kill the PVE player.

I wouldn’t PAY em to do maintenance. Steve Jobs would have FIRED some of them and cussed out ALL of them for HAVING to do all this maintenance...Then again we ARE paying and not playing...guess we are paying them to do maintenance since we can’t play...

Steve Jobs would have farmed all the work out to Chinese factories, with slave workers, who slept 10 to a bedroom, within the afforementioned factories, which had to have nets installed, on external staircases, to prevent worker suicide.
