Race against time is a wonderful, necessary ability and a solid change. Now that we've got that, could we perhaps consider buffing the immunity duration on shuffle? Currently there are two non class specific magicka snare immunity, and two non class specific stamina snare immunity in the game. Race against time is a 4s immunity with major expedition, force, and several decent passives for slotting it (spell orb, psjic shield). Elusive mist is a 4s snare immunity with major expedition, damage reduction, CC immunity, w/ the drawback of no mag regen. Forward momentum is a 4s immunity w/ a good HoT attached, and is generally slotted on all stam builds regardless of spec (either forward or the other morph, when switching from a medium to a heavy setup this more or less saves a bar slot). Shuffle is a .5s PER piece of medium armor immunity, meaning that 95% of builds in PvP are getting 2.5s immunity from it, with the only other buff being major evasion. So the armor weight designated as the "mobility" armor weight currently is given access to the weakest snare immunity in the game, which also happens to be quite expensive. Major evasion was added to shuffle as a solution for medium armor "mitigation" issues once RNG dodge change was removed, when in reality what medium really needs is a strong snare immunity ability. The whole point of the armor weight is to AVOID damage by outmaneuvering others with your superior mobility, not to completely neuter AOE damage abilities but have no mitigation against ST abilities.
I'd like to propose that major evasion as a buff be reduced to 15% AOE damage reduction, as currently the ability provides way too much mitigation. Accompanying this nerf, the snare immunity on shuffle should be buffed to 1s per piece of medium armor worn.
The issue with surviving in medium after the speed pot and expedition nerf wasn't a lack of mitigation, it was a lack of mobility. While no longer having 100% uptime on major expedition was a big nerf to mobility, the real killer is having a snare immunity that is super expensive and basically non-functional. 2.5s is not enough time to create a gap between you and other players, nor is it enough time to properly position yourself for an offensive window and you simply can not afford to use this ability every 2.5s. Buffing shuffle to give 1s of immunity per piece of medium armor worn will allow for medium armor to have access to the strongest snare immunity in the game, as well as the option to further extend this immunity by sacrificing undaunted passives and heavy/light 1 pc passives (a tradeoff you wouldn't consider now, as boosting your immunity from 2.5s to 3.5s at the cost of these passives is not worthwhile).
