Lock skyshard purchase for below lvl50 alts

Can we lock the option to purchase skyshards until a character is level 50? And initially cp160? If a player was able to receive all skyshard skill points as soon as they create the character, they will have a major advantage in below lvl50 PvP.

I like that the option of purchasing skyshard achievements is finally available. But it will destroy the random battlegrounds exp bonus for any players that do not purchase the upgrade.

Nope. I want my skill points for my new necromancer who ISN'T going into pvp. Why should my character have to do without because of a segment of pvp that is minimal?

And what advantage would that be? It's already very easy to get more than enough skill points at that level, additional ones would only go to crafting or other non-essential stuff.

Edaphon is right. Getting skill points at a low level doesn't mean you have everything unlocked to spend it on.

Honestly, nobody, and I mean nobody needs more than the usual amount of skyshards while levelling. There is plenty to go around for any build. If it's a crafter, you won't have maxed any crafting before hitting 50. I 100% agree with OP's suggestion. Once you hit CP go nuts, but this will 100% be exploited by under 50 PvP.

    What's the rush?

They can unlock and use all werewolf and psijiic skills and passives, which are only quest limited, and have very relevant PvP applications.

Under 50 PvP, which is already a hive of scum and villainy, will become even more of a wasteland than it is.

    Sub-50 pvp is trash.
Why would you want to put yourself through that mess?

But what if I took my newly created character and went farming enough skyshards to unlock these passives? How different from buying them would it be besides the time spent and some level up from discovering locations and fighting mobs?

But I can already do that now. Why is that suddenly a (bigger) problem?

I already get all my champion points from Level 1 so why should Skill Points be any different... not like I can use them all instantly anyway was I still need need to level the skill lines.

    1. Vampirism and werewolf lines level up with your character, not via quest. You're just granted access to those lines.
    2. Psijic Skills and Passives are indeed quest locked, however you can't unlock future abilities without completing the quest.

Just because they have a surplus of more skyshards, and thus more SPs, than someone who doesn't purchase them doesn't mean that it's either pay to win or that it gives them a greater edge. You have to still level out those skills and abilities, many of which you get post level 30-40 anyways. You may as well just level out the last 10 levels and go play in Vivec. Using the same logic, a person can buy a bunch of mount upgrades and since 1-49 players are obviously going to be on a slower mount. Which means they get ganked by gankers.

Fun fact, neither of those are an issue. The world isn't going to end because someone has access to these benefits faster than you.
