Uppercut change

I am curious to see what people think about the damage reduction to the 2h Uppercut skill.

"Uppercut: Reduced the damage dealt from this ability and its morphs by 14% to make up for the removal of the post global noted above. Note this will result in a 6% overall DPS increase when used in quick succession."

It's my main spamable (guess my class) in pvp and its pretty tough to land but at least when i do i feel rewarded. I am not sure the 0.1s cast time reduction will help me to land it better but i have a feeling i will notice the 14% damage reduction.

What are your thoughts?

    I mean snipe for a damage reduction by 25% so I’d say 14% is pretty good

    33000 max resistance will be lowered by 5 percent which is around 1,5k? i guess most people running around have 20k ish which is 1k penetration. eh..

    For PVE its better, for pvp its debatably worse cause now it has less burst potential which is what it was mostly good for. Yes the overall dps is increased but 9/10 you need more burst than dps in pvp. Should of done that to the non dizzy morph so one is more about dps while the other is about burst.

    Has anyone checked it with weaving? Snipe change did not effect light attack weaving resulting in a pretty significant dps loss in PVE. I'm curious if Uppercut behaves the same or different with the changes.

    It's worse at chumping potatoes simply because you can't just DSwing -> execute them anymore. But the skill is reasonably reliable ATM. It probably should retain it's damage for balance reasons, but if ZOS combat team feels this adjustment can bring back the dark days of 1.5k WBWBWBWBWBWBWBWB combo then so be it.

    Yes it has a DPS loss when weaving light attacks, just like Snipe. I really doubt it was their intention to nerf this for people who weave light attacks.

    I really do not like this change. Vs good players, it's very hard to land Dizzy Swing. They can tap block, they can dodge. When you do land it, you want it to really hurt them. It's a great skill currently... high risk, high reward. You feel hopeless when they keep avoiding it, but very satisfied when it lands. On live, it is one of the few skills that REALLY encourages good counterplay... Therefore imo actually one of the healthiest skills in the game. To actually land it, you have to position well, anticipate their movement, think about your combo, think about their resources. Nerfing this skill is basically encouraging face-roll gameplay. We need MORE skills like this.

    plus everyone is going to be fast like when swift was a thing with RaT, snares and immobilizes wont do anything, and everyone will have major expedition all the time, good luck trying to land it.

    plus its hit box is wonky, way to narrow, people move to the side at all (and they do, people circle strafe in pvp constantly) and once again, good luck landing it.

    Wow dude this is such a cool explanation. This helped me realize why i was having such a fun time with this skill even though i would not have recommended it. I agree more skills like that would make the game so fascinating and probably solve some problems.

    If they're nerfing it's damage like that and making LA weaving unviable then they should atleast give it a lock-on like all the other brainless high potential skills out there. Radiant Destruction, Soul Assault, Snipe.

    I mean I guess you'd have to position well and all that... or stun them first and while they are on the ground or whatever you should be able to land a few shots before they CC break. I have tested it out since the change and it's fine... still hits hard and is now easier to combo with another abilities. Not to mention you can get more hits of it in faster now. It's an interesting change.

    Almost like putting minor fracture but remember this is a unquie to have for a debuff than having another minor fracture. I can see nbs use the poison for minor fracture with night mothers or they stick to what ever set they been using.
