I'll admit that I have an 'absolute master' when it comes to normal crafting, (ie all traits, motifs, and provisioning recipes--the last is a new development, but one I'm glad of)....now, he's also a very capable furnisher, but I also know that there are around probably 400 furnishing patterns that he doesn't know, mostly murkmire, cwc, and alinor patterns...However, unless this is due to some bug that I'm not aware of in Awesome Guild Store, he's run into a problem. I have enough money to start trying to pick up more furnishing patterns, and decided to run to some of the big cities: Elden Root, Wayrest, Mournhold, Vivec City, Brass Fortress, and Alinor, in search of ones I could pick up. For the past 3 days at least, I have not come up with anything on my searches that he doesn't know (ie, they're showing blank since i have the 'find unknown' checked on my searches)....wow...how can I not find anyone, especially in big cities, who's selling furnishing patterns I don't have? I don't think I would have even contemplated this problem before...(PC/NA if people need to know).

my master thief has gathered every furnishing recipe I have learned; like you nothing I could find in auction house so my lil cat burglar goes on one of his runs.

The mission is simple empty every backpack, dresser drawer, and every cupboard anywhere and everywhere.

I always come out of a run with a few unlearnt ones after hitting every major city just going door to door.

The gold is great a few new recipes in ones pockets and it is just plain fun sneakin...

Atm the market is flood with cheap plans, the ones your missing will most likely start at page 5 or more. Keep scrolling or check directly for ones you miss.

if you are using AGS are you waiting until the store says 'request finished' and has looked at upto 15k items (unlikely to be this big) and shown you none

Have you tired doing it to all the store, not just consumables?
not sure about patterns but some style pages and some box parts dont show as consumables

Have you tried looking at all not just unknown, to see if any show up

And I know that they do how (some how) as I've been selling a few...

I can check other things just fine, but the unknown furnishing plans are not showing up (and i have been waiting a few 'query cycles' in AGS, so that's probably accurate...I'll have to hope that people bring out the better patterns in a couple of weeks, likely enough there are other things that they imagine will sell faster right now.
edit: I specify the recipes for this, and unknown (I know that I do in fact know every provisioning recipe, which helps narrow the selection down nicely)....but yeah, it's just the furnishing recipes that I'm not finding ones i don't own yet.

I've been having too many issues with AGS, I dumped it. I use a recipe list add on, can't remember what it is off hand, you task all known and unknown recipes and furnishing plans across all my characters. You might be better off using that and searching for specific plans.

I could do the latter, but i've found it more effective to just grab the lowest value ones as I find them...searching for specific ones usually ends up with me rushing to get something only to find it gone...never fun. Yes, I do use craftstore, and have a list there, but filtering is better where i can use it (and i really don't have a preference right now to what I learn next)

A friend of mine knows 90% of all currently existing furniture. It's always a celebration when one picks up a furnishing plan that was unknown before. The current event already spat out one and possibly another which I'll have to check!

Rare recipes are just that, rare. I got my first CWC recipe ever last week from a Reward Box. It would have sold for 200K if I did not want to make the item.

Note, I am not talking about that control panel that is in every other container last time around.

If you want to more quickly find rare recipes, have the output in descending price so the most expensive are listed first.
