Can we get some form of one handed sword for mages?

the one feature I’ve been waiting for since release is a one handed weapon tree that can be used for magicka builds I’ve heard years ago some form of sword and rune skill line was datamined which obviously hasn’t lead to anything.
Do you thinks it’s possible this would be considered again at some point?
