Can we tone down the time-sensitive timesink events a little bit?

More events with more rewards is great and all but when you have such a high frequency of time-sensitive events that include random elements which can see you spending nearly all your free time trying to get all the rewards before they are gone; you are only really going to encourage people feeling burnt out or like they are loosing out.

Daily rewards had the problem at one point of trying to encourage players to log-in religiously everyday in order to earn the best rewards; now thankfully the better reward are more considerately placed around the middle of the month. It would be nice to see the same consideration applied to events.

I'm not saying we should have less rewards or get rid of the time-sensitivity that help make unique items that more rare and unique. I'm just saying that the time-sensitive or timesink aspects behind these events could do with toning down a bit. We already have the time-sensitive Indrik mounts and pets, do we really need time-sensitive motifs that can become a timesink on top of that?

(Sure, with this event the tickets can be gotten almost instantly, but this is not the case with all events and is not the case with motifs. - additionally it will be impossible to get all of the berries, a new set of feathers and the pet during this event without actually buying more tickets)

(Sure, you can just buy the motifs from guild stores, however these are only going to go up in value and down in quantity, in addition to being a potential big coin drain for anyone who only plays casually - this is something that could be balanced out much better by having these motifs return over multiple events instead of just a single week)

(Sure, no one has said you have to get all the rewards but that doesn't mean that things would not be considerably improved if they were a bit more considerate- especially again for casual players. Additionally for those who would class the motifs as an added bonus, you can't really count the new motifs as an additional bonus on top of the mount and pet due to their time-sensitive nature- the only additional bonus is the non-time-sensitive motifs.)

After doing an event X times game can give all the rewards for once. That X will be a high number tho. You may spend a lot of time but get the reward at least.

Best will be increase drop rate but you earn only 2 boxes each from you're first 2 dailies aka wb and delve just like tickets or the dungeons or BGs premium rewards once per character.

Don't participate? You can pretty much buy all the stuff afterwards.

The events populate the world lots of players enjoy them, but if you personally are getting burnt out take a break.

I have to agree with this stance. It's not imperative to do the events, a player just misses out on an optional gain.

It's like the argument of making end game content easier. We don't have to do the hardest content, so making it easier just because someone wants to complete it is about the same as asking to be "passed" when you're doing badly in school or something.

Why do people keep whining about content that others like? Play it if you like, don't if you don't. There is plenty of other content to occupy your time if you wish.

OP, you don't need all the feathers right away. If you want that Indrik, get the berries. The feathers can wait.

Like the post says, it isn't about making less content, it is about making said content more realistically accessible.

Hopefully that is the case and future events will give enough tickets to catch up instead of fall behind.

there should be token/repuatation systems in all dlc dungeons/trials, where after certain amount of times completed you should be able to get what you want, rng is annoying xD

I like the events in general, but...

RNG is RNG, but after doing around 16 delves/bosses without a single motif page, I've concluded I don't have time for this...
...that sort of thing is also what I have experienced.

I guess the drafting week was quick enough to do that you could compensate the lack of decent RNG results with more crafting... but the daily world bosses and dwelve quests just take too long to do that on a casual players time budget.

I am guessing, they ought to at least have tweaked the chances a bit to account for that... or made it like "first box per day gurantees something good like companions motiv page! More boxes have the ole small chance at getting more nifty stuff..."

And when I think about the upcoming "daily dungeon & trial runs".... well...

Quite a few games thankfully incorporate an adjusting drop chance which increases each time an item isn't dropped.

Unfortunately ESO doesn't have that same luxury. Hopefully one day though...

Agreed. It's a bad joke, and it isn't even real content in any meaningful sense of the word. It's a cheap way to keep players on the hamster wheel.

This game becomes more exploitative every year, which doesn't surprise me given that Zeni/Bethesda are now fully committed to cheesy casino tactics and mobile gaming sleaze. At least the 'rewards' don't have timers (yet).

If you’re getting burnout, don’t participate in the events anymore. Pretty simple.

Sure, you won’t get the rewards. However, you can find most of the rewards in other areas of the game (or in the guild stores).
"May you walk on warm sands."
"First, I would ask that you look to the poor and the suffering around Cyrodiil. Look into their hearts, and then look into your own."
"May Auri-El's light guide you in your darkest hours."

Like I say in the post; while you don't have to get all of the rewards, that doesn't mean that things would not be considerably improved if they were more reasonable to obtain.

While I can understand what you are saying, I never really find the idea of 'you don't have to play/participate' to be much of a solution to criticism.

Here is the thing, you don't have to participate in all 5 weeks of the event to get the rewards. The minimum you need to do for the first 4 weeks is log in and eat cake and then log out. That guarantees that you get the daily tickets.

If you want all of the new style pages, just wait until week 5 to do crafting writs. Every reward box will have a chance to drop every single style page for this event during week 5. And if you have seen the influx of Prophet pages during week 1, the other styles are going to also be pouring in during week 5.

I'm finding that many of the actual drives or WBs can be done pretty quickly. If the boss spawns right away and a crowd is there to kill it, things go fast. If you've already completed a delve you can run through and do the things you need to do and get out (as opposed to opening every container and visiting every room looking for the skyshard). The problem is going between zones and getting to/from quest givers. I've wasted so much time every day on loading screens, often having to reboot my Xbox after more than 5-10 minutes of waiting. If the servers could better handle the traveling we could do so much more! My RNG has been ok this week, not spectacular. But it takes all day to do a few of the quests and its frustrating. Never mind trying to do them on an alt! I guess maybe if you never sleep.
