Disappointed by the use of exploits in Cyrodiil

1. Yesterday i was a DC in Cyrodiil, and i assisted to a single EP guy somehow enter Glademist and take the scroll of Altadoon.
2. He then fled away at a speed faster than my (and everyone else's) 60/60/60 horse on Rapids.

My opinions:

1. I am quite sure this was an exploit: the speed and the jumps he was making were unnatural.
2. Also when i noticed him in Glade, he was in one of the fort's keeps, and doing something strange: shooting with a ballista from the wall, towards the inside of the corner keep, sneakily (as much as you can be with a ballista). Maybe this was so that the keep registered as being under attack, and he could steal the scroll?
3. I've always been very complacent of ZOS, and still am. They work hard to bring us a great game, and most of the time they only get grilled here on the forums. But i really enjoy their work and will keep playing and supporting and paying for the game.
4. That said, this event really rattled my confidence. How can you compete against exploits?
5. Most importantly: this was an obvious one, but what if more subtle ones exist? Like exploits for permanent shield, incredibly high stamina/magicka/health max values or recovery, and so on? Things that are not as blatant, but still give you an incredible edge?

When i began playing, i was scared of PVP: i was (and still am) and old and n00b guy. But then i began trying it out, for the events. And i liked it, a lot. Especially the big, epic battles for defending and attacking resources. I was still being killed a lot, but i had fun. Lately i improved my build, gilded myself out, and became actually decent, and was having a lot of fun. Everything about the way Cyrodiil is designed is great - sieges, resources, chokepoints... Zergs and ball groups do not bother me (it's way, baby!), and the only criticism is that i would like a better hierarchy of groups to coordinate more strategically.
But yesterday this happened, and i am really sad. It makes me feel as if i am playing on the losing side, always, regardless of how much effort i put in it. The exploits always win.

I'm not making any demands, treating or suggesting to unsubscribe. I'm just really dismayed and wanted to share this with you.

Yeah some people have massive egos that get in the way of their improvement. It’s a lot easier to assume people are cheating than to admit to yourself that there are better people out there. Fortunately the people that are often accused of cheating are the ones who are easiest to check for cheating due to videos / streaming / visibility, so nobody takes the ego-driven accusers seriously.
