Good News @ZOS_MattFiror ! Because of the PC-EU Server Update - April 11 Queuing System that's now in place you won't need to spend any money upgrading/replacing the PC EU Server Hardware. The 'spike' in user activity that you claim to have had in March will quickly be moving onto other games.

So just sit back and wait! Save your mountains of cash! Keep working on those engine optimizations, boosts to performance and tweaks to the service that we've been waiting for since the game launched. And we'll see you in 2020 when there's another yearly apology post due.

Cheers from everyone on PC EU!

It's more due to the fact multiple threads on the same subject are unnecessary, and take up space on the front page that could otherwise be used to discuss things that aren't already covered (complete with estimated timeline) in the big stickied thread at the top. Nearly every forum has a "no duplicate posts" rule, as it just clutters things up. I'd also say the big stickied post is evidence they're not downplaying it. When they have an update, they'll provide it. Until then, it's logistics. I.e. time to wait.

That said, even if they were downplaying it and "silencing the people," they have every right to do so on their forums. Or would you like to stand in the middle of a store, insult and berate its employees and manager, call for firings and threaten legal action, and see how quickly security arrived to ask you to leave?

Seriously, just because the medium's digital doesn't mean things like etiquette and common decency fly out the window.

This has nothing to do with the topic to hand. You are referring to a response, but didn't reference that by quoting it.

    as to this:
Until then, it's logistics. I.e. time to wait.
For long-term players, it has been 2-3 years waiting already.

Nah works short term but long term this entire situation proves to them they need better servers so at the very least, vets should see an improvement. As for new players well...they haven't been around to experience the worst of the worst yet but eh give it time lol

This comes off as someone who does not bother reading when Zos actually communicates. As someone who has to deal with this as well and actually read Zos' statement this OP just comes off as a mindless rant that is just a pointless complaint for the sake of complaining.

Yes, Zos should have reacted faster instead of taking about a month to begin work on the issue but as long as Zos has the same president we should all expect slow responses, but I still suggest actually reading Zos' thread on this subject in order to create what would appear to be an informed OP.
    Really, idk

I read both the posts yes. It was the usual expected apology so it seemed only fitting to reply with the usual expected response.

The worst thing to do would be apathetic or even happy about them continuously disregarding their players? I did expect a few of these responses from the forums when making this post, the few determined to pass this off as just another 'minor' incident. Players are queuing for upto an hour, subscribers & new impressionable players a-like.

Only a 10 minute queue at prime-time today & no queue for Cyrodiil. Seems the plan of putting people off playing the game is in full swing. If they keep this system in place a while longer it'll be Elder Scrolls Coop for the 2 people left online.

What exactly do you expect them to do? Drop everything they are doing just so YOU don't have to sit in a queue?

It takes time to upgrade hardware, it takes time to migrate server resources, it takes time to integrate other resources to an existing server infrastructure. it is not just clicking a few buttons, and 20 minutes later, BAM capacity NOW able to handle 100% more players!

You've never worked with Vsphere, Windows server, SQL databases, never had to program a switch, routers, merg/import data/settings/files to new systems before. A million things can go wrong, and it requires a lot of testing after it is done before it can be pushed into a live environment.

Because what happens if they upgrade, and then BAM...NO ONE in the EU can log in....now you're in an even WORSE position than before....

They already said they plan on upgrades, I imagine people are already working on it (backing up systems, ordering parts, scheduling outside contractors for assistance, etc.) At least you can sit in your house for 30 minutes, then still log in and play.

Some people don't even have a house to even sit in during their free time. Be mad all you want, in fact...just uninstall and quit the game already. I will gladly dump whatever money you WOULD have spent, back into the game on top of what I already dump, just to compensate ZOS for you quitting.

    Please, quit.

At least a year ago when they saw the state of performance in the game they could have had a meeting to decide upon a series of QoL and performance improvement updates instead of the 'new dlc every 3 months' model they keep throwing out there.

Sure they need to keep making money but all of a sudden they hit a brick wall like this that they saw coming with long-range telescopes 3 months prior and act like adding the queue is doing us a favour to keep the servers online.

I'm sorry you're angry at what i've posted here but if you just keep defending them for their mistakes they will just continue to make them.

Wow. Such excuses, much taking of player's monies and not providing said services. I don't work with Vsphere, Window's servers, SQL data bases, ect. I appreciate that ZOS does. That is why, after offering services and taking monies from players, it's their JOB to provide the service they promised. If they can't manage the above, after representing that they are top level game developers with the technological know how and ability to deliver, then they shouldn't charge for the services NOT rendered.

I'm on an Xbox on the NA server, so I am not personally affected, but your words are just laughable.

What the hell do you mean "don't even have houses"...I work and pay for for my lifestyle and I am supposed to PAY MONEY and be HAPPY because I didn't get something I paid for because there are other people who are homeless? False comparison, shame on you.

The fact is the queue is MUCH lower today at primetime on EU not because of any improvements that Zenimax have made but solely due to the fact that people have become disinterested in a game with a login queue and constant problems.

They're not leaving anyway, they're either playing their characters on the queue-less NA server or else they're on the PTS.

Of course there are fewer people on the EU server you muppet, it's because the PTS is open with Elsweyr and Necromancers  !

There's such an insanely low percentage of players who actually download the PTS server i'm afraid it's nothing to do with that at all sorry. It's to do with the decisions made & not made about EU Server that the forums and /bug were telling them about for months but nothing was done. And now that ignorance is hurting the game in general.
