Do you think moving imperial city que out of cryodil will make it more appealing

I think imperial city is cool but it is completely dead and I didn’t buy plus until last December so maybe it was more popular but I’ve tried going there a few times and it’s dead.

Also I think the idea of offensive npcs like in league of legends would make it it different to this game and cool. Make the area more alive.

They are just moving it into its own campaign - it's not like it's getting new content, so there's no way it will be more appealing. I guess the fact you can port straight into there is a bonus, but that's about it really.

How would it be less appealing? Once you're inside, there are no mechanical differences that I can tell.

However, getting to Imperial City will be much easier. No need to queue to Cyrodiil and horse simulator to the door. Just queue right in and go. Less wasted time in content you don't want to play in order to get to content you do want to play.

This may lead to more players trying it out. When they realize that it's a zerger/ganker paradise, they may lose interest unless they are either in a group of 12+ mowing people down or a solo player knocking off stragglers and farmers. There isn't much incentive to be there otherwise.

Yea, it’ll be more appealing. Right now it takes a long time to get there and leave - too long. Plus some factions can be locked out depending on the cyrodiil map. As a new player even figuring out how to get there can be complicated.

If it’s accessible it’ll be a good change. Accessibility I think is the reason there aren’t more players.

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
Condemned and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

Plus it's of no interest to pure PvEers. Although the easier access will appeal to them, the PvP threat will still be a huge turn-off. That would be fair enough as it's a PvP zone, and a PvP DLC, but for the fact that most PvPers don't bother with it anyway so it's rather a wasted zone - much like Craglorn was after the initial interest and until ZOS revamped it.

Hum, there are benefits for pvers in the sewers. You can buy the rune to make prismatic glyphs with tel var stones. I like prismatic runes better than pure health runes.

But it’s nearly impossible for some to even get a bunch of stones in gank city

Agreed there are benefits for PvEers, there's just no interest for many of them in entering an open PvP zone regardless of those benefits.

Personally it won't change the way I feel about IC. I don't even remember it exists most days. The only thing that would make me spend time there was removal of Tel Var theft. Since that's not going to happen, I see no difference in it being in Cyro, out of Cyro, or in my very backyard. Still not stepping inside.

    Most definitely

Risk vs reward situations of tal var will be fun for thrill seekers. Nobody liked load screens or horse riding just to get there.

imp city is one of my favorite spots on the whole map...I can't disagree with your statement bolded above...

the weird thing though, as a solo player - who is far from OP - that's one of the things I love most about IC...the sense of danger...

It can’t make it less popular.

I think it’s a long overdue move, it means Cyrodiil campaigns aren’t skewed with IC players.

The PvE meets PvP is still a dumb idea, but at this point that won’t change

    Let’s hope it works.

So how many invisibility potions and how high does my sneak need to be for me to enjoy strictly PvE in the IC?

The only thing that's going to make Imperial City more popular is to remove the trolling element from it where players can kill others to steal their stones. Most of us simply have better things to do with our time then collect stones so ___holes can unfairly gang up on us or jump us while we are fighting to take our items away. Otherwise, you're just going to have zergers and masochists hanging out in there - or first-timers who are in for a real treat.

Yes the same PvPers who come to vet dlc dungeons with 2h weapon to pull 10k dps and we have to carry them with our master race dps

The change itself will not make it more appealing. It will just be we will not be spread out across multipole campaigns.

The question will be does everyone who goes there now still go or will they stop to avoid the greater chance for PvP.

Either way it lives or dies on it's own merits now.
    Really, idk

Yes. I'm pretty excited by it actually. I spend most of my pvp time in Cyro, but also love IC. i like when there's risk of loss associated with pvp/adventuring - even if it's just telvar. It just makes it feel so much better to me when i drop off my gains in the bank knowing I survived. But IC is dead, and I think making it it's own campaign and consolidating it to one server will make it more lively. Good times! I can just imaging what it's going to be like to walk through the streets of any of the districts. It's a snipers paradise. lol

I am a PvP player these days, and I appreciate having it split off.

    1) No more running to the sewers with a newbie just to have them die or accidentally exit the wrong door, so you have to play Horse Simulator all the way from the Southern Gate again

    2) No more having less room for your faction because someone wanted to >gasp< play the content in Imperial City and the Imperial sewers.

    3) No more guilty feelings being in Cyrodiil and playing in the Sewers when your Faction needs players and you are taking up a slot.

I think by making it more accessible and appealing to PvP and PvE players alike, this is going to bring it to vivid, wild, infuriating, exhilarating, sneaky, zergy, cloak-and-daggery, gloriously fun life. Hey, ZOS did something right.

Now get some more hamsters for the servers ZOS.

Far less so actually. There will probably be more people there, making it a ridiculous lagging gankfest like all of pvp. The only difference being that there's PvE content that PvErs don't get to play, and an increased incentive to gank people.
