Why must Weapon/Armor Outfit Styles be re-purchased if the character switches the actual gear?

Upon starting a new character, I decided to purchase Cadwell's Maul, Axe and Shield. This did cost 12k. It looked really great on a redguard in Nordic Bather's Towel 
As I progress, I equip new gear. When I log out, and later in again, the purchased outfit styles are no longer present, and must be purchased again if I still want to have them "equipped".
I can't find any spesific information online adressing this situation. Is this really the way it works?
Do I really have to purchase the same outfit styles on the same character multiple times, as long as I change my actual gear?
As I progress, I equip new gear. When I log out, and later in again, the purchased outfit styles are no longer present, and must be purchased again if I still want to have them "equipped".

✭✭✭I tested this, and the outfit skin in still there when I put the same weapon type back on the same bar.Main: Drio Azul ~ DC, Redguard, Healer/Magicka Templar ~ NA-PC

Ysbriel✭✭✭✭✭It must be a bug cause by switching on an outfit station, it doesn’t matter what armor you put on the outfit will show always unless you change weapon type, then you need to select a particualr style for the outfit. I switch gear all the times and what you are saying doesn’t happen to me at least0
