What is the maximum CC immunity duration you can get currently (probably with a potion)?

    Depends how you look at it, if you got the stam sustain id imagine youd have a high uptime by using the heavy skill that gives it, though that would be a specialized build.

    I was standing on my fafourite rock at Bleakers, which unfortunately was in enemy hands. So it didn't take long until I got sniped from the roof. I kept my Defensive Rune up and stunned the sniper now and then as you would expect it from the normal CC immunity duration after break free.

    The person briefly stopped sniping. When they resumed, my Defensive Rune wouldn't CC them anymore. They then proceeded sniping me maybe 30-50 times without any stun from rune.

    So the question really is about maximum duration, not average uptime. Is it still possible to get 30+ seconds of CC immunity from potions?

    No but with Assassins Guile poisons, potions, and heavy armor skill, and I think a set gives 40% longer you can get almost 100% uptime

    A player can get the "natural" immunity from breaking free, then add more with an immovability pot when it ends. Not 30 seconds though, did he dodge the rune or get CC immunity from another source?

    He may have had luck with immovable poison on top of all this.

    They were just standing on the top of Bleakers sniping away on cooldown. No dodging, no breaking free (since they didn't get stunned). No poison with a damage component that I noticed.

    I didn't count the exact number of snipes, since it took a while until it started to feel fishy. But this went on for a while. I was thinking of CC immunity potions and the jewellery glyphs that extent their duration, but I have no idea how much duration such a setup gives.

    Now that you mention it, I think I had that happen too (with me at the receiving end). But it's rare and not what happened here. You can't LOS Rune as you can do with other projectiles. I'm stunning players 'through' walls and objects all the time when I have their DOTs on me.

    Anyhow, I should have just asked that guy how he was avoiding the CC.

    Edit: To clarify, my Rune was up all the time I got sniped but didn't get consumed as it works when the target has CC immunity. I also wasn't able to interrupt the snipes, since he was out of range for Crushing Shock.

    Thinking of it, there was a bug a while ago where targeted CC skills like Rune Prison and Fossilize were uncastable on some players (greyed out skill on the skill bar). Maybe it was something like that.

    After some more observation time, I think the answer is very simple.

    Defensive Rune seems to have a maximum range now, probably 28 m before Reach and Battle Spirit. Snipe simply outranges it.

    I'm 90% sure there was no range restriction in the past.

    Talk about some of the most pointless things to do in PVP that is definitely in the top 5 on both sides there. No one is killing the other person so why? It isn't even like it is a hard fight between two good players that last a long time but just pure boring one button pushing for both of you. Sniper is definitely more at fault that you but still you stood there while he fire 50 shots? Go find a fight somewhere else.

    You can get 100% uptime with potions if you use potion glyphs on your jewelery. I've theorycrafted a build like that for an argonian tank in pvp. But the cost is too high.
