DPS test vs performance - combat metrics

Now this is not a repetitive how to reach or what am i doing wrong post, i've been doing tests lately with my Magsorc and Stamnsorc.
The Magsorc running 5 necro 5 julianos 2 illambris, 19k dps parse on dummy, 23k on dungeon with no group buff. The Stamsorc is not complete so i have 5 relequen 3 agility and dual shacklebreaker and shacklebreaker bow just to add extra damage 2 selenes. i pull off 19k on test dummy and 25k in dungeon with no group buffs. Now the question here is how reliable is the information that combat metrics provide vs the test dummy that i keep having 2 different results which leaves me not knowing how to improve?

Why don’t you just use combat metrics to test your dummy parse and compare it? Also it’s possible whatever boss you’re fighting in the dungeon has less resistances than the dummy or that you are in fact receiving a group buff or boss debuff that you are not aware of. That damage difference seems like major fracture/breach.

Don't forget the random adds that walk into the AoE DoTs.

Hmm if forgot about the mayor fracture, that might be it.

Ye, implanting combat metrics in console is something you all probably want. That's one of the add-ons I will not be able to live without.

Unless you are alone in a dungeon, you are probably getting some buffs you dont know about. Probably the most important buff you get from a group is extra penetration. If the tank is taunting with pierce armor (most do), you are getting a bunch right there with major breach and major fracture. Alkosh, torugs pact, Power of the light (just to name a few) can buff penetration even further. There are also a handful of class buffs that can affect your group that you might not even know you are getting as well. Assuming the boss is relatively stationary, even a bad group is likely going to buff you above your static dummy parse.

If you have combat metrics, you can look at your average penetration during a fight. You can also look at how much of your damage is on the boss compared to the adds that might show up.

Not really, the ingame dps counter is inline with combat metrics.

Well after downloading constellations as well and getting combat metrics working properly i finally did some changes to my CP and hit 22k with both my Stamsorc and MagDK though it seems that what is suggested by constellations is off by one CP point that cant be added.
