Small achievement (vMA related, update!)

Tonight I finally got past stage 5 and 6 of vMA. It felt so nice. I am running Kena Bloodmoon Relequen on a werewolf setup and it seems to be doing the job.

Now I’m stuck on stage 7 but that’s ok. I’m sure I’ll figure it out in a little while, just can’t seem to burn the boss fast enough (get him to about 35% on good run) also I’m not sure if I should fight him near the pools cause if I get hit by the flowers I’m dead instantly.

Any tips?

So as it turns out today I finally beat vMA, and although I didn’t get the bow as I had hoped I am so happy I can finally add it to my list of achievements. I appreciate all the feedback from everyone over the numerous posts I have made. As well as all the content and guide creators. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you all. Thank you!

You gotta kill the summoners that spawn around the edge of map quickly and avoid flowers.

When you're on the big guy at the end, as you damage him, two summoners will appear at HP intervals. These are not the normal stationary summoners. Only kill 1 of them, and run under the other for the shield.

Kill the one that had the shield up as soon as the roar ends.

I believe if a summoner is up, and you get poisoned that makes the damage you take much higher. If you are poisoned without a summoner up, the damage is still pretty bad, but you should be able to make it to a cleansing pool at either end of the arena.

Oh really? That would explain a lot because I can only last like 3 ticks then boom I’m dead. I figured a portion of it is because I’m a werewolf but there’s also a snare that makes getting to the pool rough. And thanks for the tip about killing 1 summoned. I never thought about that lol I just focused the boss.

The bosses roar will wipe. If you can get the boss to ~35%, it is probably only mechanics holding you back.

When the two appear, just hit one and run to the other avoiding the spores along the way and you'll be fine.

I think two sets of summoners will appear in that fight, after they are dealt with it is the home stretch.

There are plenty of guides online, @Buildman.

Unless, of course, you don’t want spoilers ... which for vMA I totally get it.

Yeah my strategy up to this point was grab the defense and damage rune and go ham on the boss. Works pretty good until a spire hits me lol. I figured I just gotta keep practicing my footing, I checked out a few guides and YouTube videos but wondered if anyone had any secret tech they wanted to share (and also I wanted to brag a little cause I’m excited I finally got past stage 5 and 6)

Rich pretty much said it .

I kill the summoner closest to the boss then get under shield of other. Not sure how to do in werewolf form tho. I heavy attack the boss and drop ulti in him while im under the shiield. Then kill that sommner quick when his shiled drops.. look around and kill the poision npc at the edge of area. I stay within two dodge rolls of green pool. Rinse amd repeat.

Just get under shield, boss is a wimp if u under shield. Dang poison is really the suck on that level.

I did it as WW too, with a weaker setup, so it’s only a matter of time before you figure it out. But really the key is awareness with the flowers. You have to pay attention to how you are positioned and make sure you give yourself space if one goes off. On the same subject, I recommend positioning the boss in the same way- kite him to a space with no flowers, kill the farthest shield add, take shelter with the one closest to the boss. I was able to continue damaging the boss under the shield which helped speed things up.

Well done on getting that far. I battled with that boss and am now stuck on stage 2 of the final boss.

Note that you can bash the boss to interrupt his roar if you don't get a shield.
I found that starting to damage the summoner while the boss was roaring helped a lot, as the summoner would one-shot me as soon as the roar ended. Just be careful not to kill them outright, and if they are damaged to begin with you should be fine there without adding extra damage.

you might have more success if you ditch relequen. as i understand it, relequen is best for long, drawn out fights with bosses that stand still

ideally, vMA fights shouldn't last very long at all, so you never get the full use out of relequen. i reccomend running vicious ophidian, as it allows you to jump from enemy to enemy much faster. in general VO is just better suited to vMA than relequen

I thought if you interrupt the boss he enrages? That's usually given as the reason ranged magicka shouldn't equip Crushing Shock for that round, as the flip side of it being useful on trollbreakers in Round 5.

Keep your eyes on summoner , she is always your first target .

Kill the mage carefully , choose the one who stay no mushroom around , because summoner may spawn before boss scream . If Mushroom pop around you , you are dead man .

When you pass the first mages phase successfully , I assume you are not score run , I suggest you that grab the shield and axe sigils together , pull the boss to the summoner spot and burn the boss , if summoner spawn again , move a little bit to avoid the AOE and kill the summoner first , then you are safe to burn the boss again , Kena + Relequen + Bloodmoon , it takes about 20 seconds to burn the boss from 50% to 0% . I never pick axe sigil , so you maybe only use 15-17 seconds to finish him .

One more tips , use tri-pot for the boss round , you need about 3-5 healing with this setup .

round 7 is one of the easiest (unless your a w/wolf ) but even then its still a case of mechanics

basically kill the sumoners, stay away from the flowers. keep moving, but be near the poison cleanse spots at all times
interrupt the archers whenever they spawn , then burn them down (use the shield at strategic poiints)

last boss, kill the summoner, dot the boss, 2 adds spawn, kill the one add, stay in the others shield whilst dpsing the boss (drop an ult dot) , as soon as sheild down, dps the other add ASAP .. kill the summoners inbetween - repeat.

round 7 is not a dps race, its just following a routine. (and avoiding pesky poison) - if you do get it, run instantly to cleanse otherwise youll be dead in 2.5 seconds.

Stage 7+ the boss and the very last boss are the two hardest parts imo. The last boss is a grind, but once you got it, you got it. It doesn't take me long to kill it when I go in there now. Grats on the win! Hope you got what you needed, and if not, you'll have an easier time going through it again next time! :)
