Justice system interaction has sold me on necromancer.

I am happy ZOS decided to make it illegal to be an necromancer and cannot wait to roll one and start being evil and getting huge bounties.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

Yeah, I'm really psyched about that. Also, kinda hoping that Vampires and Werewolves will be subject to justice system interactions with this as well.

Someone, I think it was @Ninja614 asked about it during the livestream interview, and Rich was a little cautious about whether Justice interactions would expand beyond just the Necromancer.

It's a really elegant way to solve basically all my problems with that class. Because, yeah, necromancers are not (normally) the good guys, so it's cool to have that pop up.

To be honest I'd find it annoying constantly getting bounties just for using a class skills and it'd put me off playing one. This would likely mean most quests that involve npcs following you will rack up a bounty. I'd be a huge nope on the idea of being a vampire adding up your bounty and would make the game unplayable for me as one if they did this I'd have any vampire character I have cured just so I don't have to put up with that.

Well I think it's actually on par with vamps. If you're caught by a justice NPC feeding on someone (class skill) then you incur a penalty. If you're a necromancer and use a class ability, you incur a penalty.

Really the only outlier is werewolf, which imo, should incur a penalty if transformed in towns.

Most NPCs that follow you as part of a quest are not flagged as Justice Witnesses. There are a lot of quest NPCs who can't even detect you if you're sneaking.

Vampire abilities don't actually incur Justice reactions. The feed synergy is considered an assault. Drain Essence and Batswarm are considered assault (or murder) if they're used on Justice NPCs, just like any other ability. But, you can use active Vampire abilities against hostile NPCs with impunity in front of witnesses.

    Like I said, I hope that's getting a review.

I don't think that is good. I fear it may be a "gate" to do the same for vampires & werewolves.

That... might be the most compelling argument I could think of to actually make me enjoy the option...

...if they now also added an automatic rejection from the Psijics... "No Psijic membership card for YOU, darn necromancer, we got burned already back with ole Mannimarco!" - that would be so nifty!
Also, kinda hoping that Vampires and Werewolves will be subject to justice system interactions with this as well.
    Same!
But I have been hoping they might refit that... well... ever since the start of the justice system!

Wouldn't an assault be considered a justice reaction? They way I took it, necromancer's summoning a corpse in front of a guard would illicit a reaction from said guard, same as if my vamp got caught feeding......

Surely in the wild, delves, etc, necros will be able to use their abilities. Just not in towns.

My wish list for things condemned the justice system:
    • Using a Necromancer class ability
    • Using a Vampire ability or feeding

As far as I know, summoning daedra is not a banned art like Necromancy. Hell, I remember selling items to a friendly scamp in Caldera. He was a nice enough fellow.

    Yes, exactly!
Also, being a vampire by itself should be cause for purging in the name of arkay or the tribunal! But to balance, vampires ought to recieve a "masquerade" skill that lets them pass as mortal if well fed... -just- like Verandis Ravenwatch does the first time we meet him!

    Yup, that too!

Come to think of it... lets add "start a duel within city grounds" to the list as well, huh?

I was thinking of this and would like to turn the tables. How about they build a city of murtderes, thiefs and black arts to work as a quest hub for the new class? You could also play the good guy there but the quests have the option to play a bad guy. By making your choices your quest givers move along your reputation.

I want the ability to use Necromancer skills to kill those damn flappy birds that people insist on bringing with them to do their daily crafting writs. Take my gold, fine me. I don't care, just let me kill them please.

The problem with daedra and the bear ideas is you can't really easily desummon them, eternal guardian would need to be reworked for the bear one I think.

    Yes, we know.
But it could easily be implemented that they be automatically get unsummoned when entering a "no combat pets allowed" area, and any who go and resummon them there... raise the ire of the town guards, yes? ;)

Yeah, there's a very fine technicality here. Feeding appears to be treated as an assault, rather than it being treated as a justice crime on its own. The distinction is, you can feed on non-justice NPCs in front of guards with impunity. So, you're getting charged with assault, not with being a vampire.

Also, like I said, there's a lot of places where you won't be reported for for breaking the law. A lot of potential witnesses that are quest related, especially ones who are tasked to follow you around, do not report your actions, even if it would make sense for them to do so. Ex: The Guard in Riften who chases you around trying to start the quest for the city.

Or, here's a crazy thought, block them from the walkmesh near the writ drop off points, and crafting stations. So, they can no longer intrude into those spaces.

    Okay.

    True story time.

I originally had intended not to preorder Elsweyr.
I was very much vexed at the thought of a new class, and thus loath to support those developments with my money. Thought "Nah, I'll get it some other time" and stuffs.

    Then...
...I heard about that justice system interaction for filthy necromancer scum...

And I kept thinking about it, until...
    1359324359292137767.jpg
    ...and I preordered it now.
    :p;)
(Yeah, ZOS, laugh it up, you win again! :p:lol: )
