Maintenance broke the game, again

Why after every single "patch", maintenance day or whatever it is called, something is broken?
Loading screen, dungeon finder, addons and a lot more. Why even do this maintenance than, @ZOS?

Maybe they fixed whatever they broke last time so addons are now broken again?

Most addons aren't actually broken, they're just marked as out of date because the game's version has changed.

Each addon has a line which says which version of the game it's compatible with. Even if the update had absolutely no effect on that addon or anything it does the author needs to manually change that line and publish the updated version for it to show as being in date.

You can get around this however by checking 'allow out of data addons' and then disabling any which don't work. I've been playing after the update with all my addons enabled and I haven't encountered any problems yet.
