    Breton, because

    - Repping that DC
    - Handsome
    - 7% cost reduction (huge benefit for no cp/bgs)
    - Spell resistance, which I believe gets doubled if you're under the influence of a status effect
    - 2k mag, same as altmer, so your resource pool will still be the same

I suppose my main reason is they are more versatile because I can use it on CP and No CP thanks to the extra regen and cost reduction. I'm noticing A LOT more mag sorcs running around these days, so the spell resistance is a huge plus as well.

Idk how much the extra Stamina is helping high elves, but Breton sustain is fantastic

Breton, I don’t know sorcs but if they don’t have channeled attacks besides heavy attacks the Altmer passives aren’t good enough.

I tried magblade with both races, Breton was better. I imagine sorcs are the same.

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

Both are great, just build a little different with each. Altmer needs more sustain, Breton damage. Balance it out.

basically this, pick what you want... Skill makes the difference in game. I am fine with spell charge its helpful for certain situations in PvP and the damage reducing from cast times like dark deal or whatever other abilties come with them or are channeled.

    Plus damage boost is nice.

Breton, but I could easily make Dunmer or Altmer work as well... these three are pretty well balanced.

Khajiit is very iffy after the nerf, will require much testing.

    Breton.

The passives are more universally useful and are in total worth more in set-bonus equivalents than those of Altmers.

20 percent damage reduction with shadowrend pet and altmer using heavy overload is pretty sick. 28 percent actually if you do it on backbar with temporal guard.

the dmg gain by altmer passive is not to be underestimated + the stamina regen is literally made for pvp (breaking out of stuns).

How can you do overload with temporal guard on your bar?

    And heavy overload sucks...

True, but you can easily use 2 more Spell Damage set bonuses on a Breton, and as you said stam regen is pretty much PvP-only. So you'd be better off using a Breton as the passives are more universally useful (and depending on the scenario are even considerably more worth in terms of set bonuses than the Altmer ones).

Heavy overload is incredible. Heavy overload front bar, switch it on, turn to back bar. You would know that if you had used it before:)

I think it depends on how you play. I like the Altmer because I tend to need a lot of stam for my type of PvPing (roll-dodge/block/etc). If you're in a large group though, and you're more dependent on your mag, then probably Breton. I think both are perfectly viable options though.
