    Zos gave an explanation. If you search I am sure you can find it. I think it was provided in the forums, iirc.

    Regardless, it is not something they could throw together last minute and still do it properly.

    Edit: it may have been a comment Zos made verbally during the first twitch on this years content, including the necromancer. It was a two episode deal on the same day. I do recall them giving a reason either there or in the forums.

    No official explanation. There's a theory floating around that this was due to issues with the Fallout 76 physical CE not being to spec, but nothing official.

    The official explanation was that as the Elsweyr story is running throughout the year, they intend to offer separate physical items during the year that are not tied to buying the Chapter. Conspiracy theories can then be added to that.

    It was a passing comment from what i remember. I think it was mentioned on a stream and i haven't heard anything else since.
