This game is too good

I agree that the game is a good one and it is nice to say so/remind ourselves of that - even as we point out areas in the game where improvement is called for. After all, no game is perfect. I could mod Oblivion and Skyrim to help minimize imperfections; it takes the devs to 'mod' out imperfections in an mmo.

I definitely wouldn't say the game is great, there are a few intentionally cruelly designed things that take from it, then there's various little annoyances that take from it, and, finally, the lack of ability for people to freely sell without having to group up with hundreds of other people to pool together millions of gold to just have a chance to sell in a popular yet otherwise isolated market is the one issue that I feel is neither big nor small but still important enough to also take from how good the game is.

Yet despite what issues it has, I won't lie, it is entertaining. Very entertaining at times, it can also be very easy to become emotionally invested, which is pretty cool. But it's definitely not a great game. Many people, devs included, seem to forget that this is a game and games are meant to have fun with. Being overly punishing for "realism" or for any other similar reason isn't fun except for those select few masochists that think the more taken away from them when they make one tiny mistake the better.

    my thoughts on this.

Im probably one of the most outspoken players in regards to changes zos makes. Eso is a good game, probably the best mmo out there. Thing is though, eso isnt competing with wow or another mmo anymore. Its in competition with itself. Longtime players compare this patch to the previous one or even years ago. While I will never say zos has made a bad game because honestly i dont believe that, its a damn great game, im also not going to flat out ignore the fact that they have made some stupid ass decisions. That is ok though, i dont expect anyone to get every decision right the first time. The one thing i havent seen them do is go back and revisit choices players werent happy with. Its like once we get to live everything is done, on to the next. While the community is like, ugh hold up zos, wooldelf kinda blows. Then zos is like nah bro its fine, moving on.

As far as adapting, yes we can adapt. You can also adapt to having your arm cut off. Doesnt mean your not like "geeez, *** would be alot better with my arm"

and it worst when your like dr zos, can we talk about getting me a new robot arm and dr zos wont answer your phone calls

i mean the endgame is a little weak. Not because of a lack of content but endgame is really were you start noticing most of the problems eso has. Lack of competitive builds, problems with classes, lack luster rewards for completing endgame content. (i mean ya skins are nice but thats a one time thing, it doesnt encourage replayability), crafting being less than meaningful. pvp if fun but gets old because of the lack of balance and the fact that fighting for your alliance to win doesnt really matter when anyone can just jump on the winning side halfway thru the campaign.

Just as complaints are viewed as valid on the forums I also feel that comments about how good the game is or how much someone enjoys the game are also valid. It’s a shame when you can’t comment how much you like the game without being heckled....

I don't get into many MMOs but I enjoy ESO the only other one I ever really got into was Star Wars the Old Republic. I tried WOW once some years back because a friend wanted me to and lost interest. I tried Final Fantasy XIV but it just didn't interest me I know these have a fan base who find something enjoyable about it but I guess it just wasn't my thing. ESO was one of the few MMOs I really enjoyed and I found it easy to get into. There are things I'd like improved some things I may want changed and even if I don't think every change is for the best or that there are things I'd like changed that may never be regardless I still have a lot of fun. But that being said there's nothing wrong with people expressing opinions of what some players may not be happy with.

No this game has no endgame.

the whole game IS the endgame. I dont know how many people expects otherwise but that's the gist of it. You can play house, dungeon run, trials, do solo zone quests, chase achievements, motif hunting and all of this the moment you start your character.
