Wraithstone performance downgrade

It's very simple, ever since the wraithstone update performance on PC-EU has gone down

• Load Times have increased from 10-20 seconds to 2+ mins
• Adverage latency has gone from 90-110 to 150-200
• FPS has gone from 120+ to barely 35+
• NPCs take upwards of 2 minuets to appear
• PvP even in battlegrounds is literally impossible
• Vendoring anything has gone from basically instant per item to ~2 seconds per item
• Just standing still watching other players walk around they are teleporting left, right and bloody center
• joining a group now takes 5+ minuets of waiting

Gave it a short while to see if the issues would smooth out, but alas they have not
so @ZOS_GinaBruno can we get a statement on what..exactly has happened in regards to the server..I mean, did the data center flood? is there heavy snow? are they now using windows 8 on the server?

Everybody I have asked in game has reported similar issues, so what about you lot? anything happened there?

I've noticed this also. Even VPNs aren't helping with the latency. I'm getting random load screens while riding from keep to keep, and that load screen you get when a wall has been repaired, I have to cross my fingers and hope I actually come out of it.
Ping could read low, but the latency feels awful. For instance, I was at 66 ping yesterday, but it felt like 999 it was so sluggish.

This NEVER happened before. My FPS gets noticeably worse each major update, and I have everything optimized for performance out the wazoo.

I love this game, I really do, but the reason I took a 6 month hiatus and just came back recently was because of the terrible Cyrodiil performance. Haven't been back long and I'm nearly ready to leave again. Stop breaking my heart ZOS.

First two days after the update I had the feeling that performance got better, the game was running smoothly and fast. But then it all turned into something terrible. Now I'm getting long load screens everyday (they were quite rare before the update), at least once in a day I stuck in endless "requesting character" screen, overall fps is unstable, one day it's 50 in Vivec City, 40 in Lilmoth, and other day it's 40 in Vivec, 30 in Lilmoth, joining a group now can take up to 30 secs from accepting the invitation to actual joining, and so on.
I think that it was good in first days because there were not so many players after the update, and then more people started to log in the game, bot farmers started to work again, and now we have all these issues.

This has happened on PCNA too since this update.. latency is 60+ more than it used to be and now more on a permanent basis. Used to be between 80-100.
During the PVP event a couple months ago I was getting 50FPS and latency was around 100-120 but would spike to only 133 in mass zerg situations with FPS rarely falling to the 20s.
Now, since Wrathestone, it is consistently 150 latency and in cyrodiil upwards of 300 with more consistent and severe spikes in PVE content as well.

I've noticed this as well. I'm averaging ~50+ higher ping than I had before the update, and in vMA I've been experiencing random drops of 30 FPS.

While I do have those occasional loading screens a few secs while in Cyrodiil and the occasional freeze of my character while in battle, overall I get around 80-120ms latency and my fps rarely goes under 60fps (this is in PvE).
Load screens used to be longer a few months ago.
Will pay more attention to it, but I haven't noticed anything worse.

Have 56-90 ping, but game still feels sluggish, delays etc, utter sh?te and will continue to be.

All updates seem to make cumulative changes in the Shader.cooked file which can affect performance over time. If performance drops too low, I'd recommend doing a complete uninstall and reinstall of the game, at least once every two years.

My issue and the solution I found are not specifically related to Wraithstone but it might help. After every single patch, including the one two days ago, my game feels broken : long loading screens, laggy interface and a huge FPS drop (100+ to 50/60). At first, I tried to repair the game, disable or update the addons, reset the graphic settings, but nothing worked, so my best solution was to completely reinstall the game. I did that a few times but recently realized that deleting the UserSettings.ini worked too.

So this is now what I do after each patch: delete the file, start the game, reconfigure all the settings (graphics, interface, combat, etc...), close the game to do additional UserSettings.ini tweaks (MIP LOAD texture, etc...), restart the game, and all's back to normal. I'd love to find the exact reason why every patch breaks my game but meanwhile, that works well enough and it is less annoying that downloading the whole game again.

As a day one player who flirted with the idea of coming back and trying this game out, it’s extremely frustrating to read the patch notes and see absolutely no mention of performance issues addressed. I’ve come to just accept it and I’ve vowed to not give this company any more money until they address the elephant in the room. This was back when they released battlegrounds as a feature of a expansion and it just flat out didn’t work for 4+ months without a mention from the devs. Such a great game and awesome memories but unfortunately the players I grinded cyrodill daily with have all come to the same conclusion. It’s just never going to change.

No change for me, playing on PC EU from another continent.

Low end PC but playing the game at a very playable speed, can PVP perfectly.

Load screens actually seem shorter after Wraithstone update.

I'm not sure what happened but I'm getting massive frame drops. From 60+ down to very janky 20-30 and then sometimes 1 fps and crash.

What the hell has happened? I never had these issue a month ago at high graphics. I even turned down my settings across the board and experience the same problems.

LOL Bruma was under attack. I port to DC. Loading screen between the inner and outer gate. I leave the outer gate and proceed to Bruma, 4 consecutive loading screens that completely stop me in my tracks.
By the time I get there all 3 flags have flipped, I can't bar swap for 15 seconds, dawnbreaker disappears into the ether and pots don't register.
Just another typical day in Cyrodiil.

Deactivate awesome guild store...its atm slowing down the speed of the traders, compared to only using the trader without addons.

Unfortunately, without AGS you dont have the auto fill in from MM data into the Guildstores...so its a bit a pain in the bum to use AGS, but it provides unique features on the cost of trader performance

I only run map pins and dark ui. I highly doubt they are the cause for my performance to take a steaming turd

if by map pins you mean Harvest map addon...it is a real fps killer and a solid lag factory at least for me

I’m console and we got the patch yesterday and the thing I’m noticing is I can’t press the buttons as fast as before the patch

For example when I go into mails and I press collect delete accept before patch I could do this quickly now I have to press collect wait 1 second delete wait 1 second accept deletion on collecting and deleting mails or the button pressing doesn’t register

It’s bad enough they never put a mass mail deletion but to slow the process down is just not helpful

I’m also seem to have to wait more on pressing buttons while in combat to but I was never that good at weaving better than I was but today just didn’t seem to register the buttons being pressed I had to pause between weaving la and skill while yesterday I could la and skill slight pause la and skill and it would be ok for my weaving

It could just be my elite controller and the remapping of buttons but I wasn’t having these pauses before patch

I'm from the UK and have had none of these issues. Not problems with add ons either and I use a lot of them.

Map Pins: https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1881-MapPins.html The thing that is two times better than ZOS's Zone Guide, and it doesn't affect performance, at least for me.

Indeed.
Latency has gone up from 120 to close to 200 and even more in crowded areas/Cyrodiil battles and fps has dropped to an average of 50-60 instead of 100+ or more since last Update.(20 fps instead of 30-40 fps in large cyrodiil fights).
Server: PC EU.

You should look at your PC or connection, the game is fine.

It's not just him.
Other players are having similar issues since Wrathstone Update.
