Stam DK Build

Hi, I am new to the forums but have been playing ESO for around two years now. I mostly play PvP with my StamBlade but really want to try StamDK as I want to get better with every class. Could somebody recommend me a good build? I play battlegrounds and non CP cyrodiil

I'm adding a specific question: what spammable ability do you use in PvP?

I've always used templars so I tend to default to Jabs as a spammable option.

There are surely multiple ways to play the class, but heavy StamDK has been working well for me in BGs. 5 heavy 2 medium. Seventh Legion, Viper's Sting, and Bloodspawn. 2h bar (Axe): Executioner, Forward Momentum, Flames of Oblivion, Stampede, Volatile Armor, and Take Flight. S&B bar with double DoT poison: Venomous Claw, Vigor, Reflective Plate, Pierce Armor, Reverberating Bash, and Spell Wall. Race: Redguard, Imperial, Orc (imo).

There's no real spammable, but you shuffle between Pierce Armor and Reverb Bash, until Take Flight is ready or your opponent is in execute range.

I enjoy running ultigen builds on my stamDK in BGs. Currently using 2H/S&B Troll King/Asylum 2H/WW Hide S&B/Seventh Legion. It’s amusing to turtle up on S&B with Troll King/Seventh keeping you alive, then to Stampede into DBoS/Venomous Claw/Executioner once you have enough ult built up.

You could remove reverb for flames of oblivion(But I like to save magicka for wings.) or change uppercut for crushing weapon if you do not like the channel, work best with immovable pot.

I'm only Lv45 with really crap gear but I'm really struggling to kill enemies...what's your rotation?

I guess I'm too used to playing Templars

FOO is a wasted slot in BGs IMO due to pets being everywhere. The likelihood of it landing on a target you want it to is getting smaller and smaller every day with more and more sorcs in BGs. If someone wants to slot something just for the crit, I'd recommend camouflaged hunter instead.

I’m currently running 5 med 2 heavy but I do switch back to 5 heavy 2 med depending on my mood . Battlefield acrobat/7th legion and blood spawn. Run acrobat with imperial in this patch for even more overall cost reduction.

Stam DK lacks a spammable (last night a NB hit me with 21 surprise attacks in a fight-- now that's a spammable). So it can be hard to kill people. You wear them down with CC's (Fossilize, talons) and dots. Best in an open field battle where fossilize is a killer; your teammates to destroy the target.

So why play Stam DK ? They are very hardy and can take a lot of damage while still dealing consistent damage (That NB did 158k damage to me but wouldn't have killed me if it hadn't been 6v1) and occasional burst damage.

stamdk is completely dead this patch. Reroll or quit is my suggestion.

Noxious Breath. Hit 7~8k, with major breach, a Dot, and costs only 1200-ish stam.

DK's strong suit is building heavy with loads of DoT. Bring a S&B and 2H and you'll be able to stand toe-to-toe with most people. With a bit more experience, that same build allows you to 1vX effectively.

Fossilize is the king of CC and allows u to shut down an opponent for magicka cost.

Nox breath got a healthy buff and now spammable, I'd argue better than green claw.

Leap is a cheap ulti, but Dawnbreaker can't go wrong, really.

Bloodspawn is the to-go monster set, but Valkyn or Troll King are popular too.


Or.......

....you go break out the mold and try something different. Wear medium. Look at Alcast's PvP DK build, or Dottz' medium build. Create a dodge-roll build. Anything.
