This one has a little room at Claws Temple Spa Resort for such things and in the future, when a suitable place is found, has plans for something larger and more elegant in the form of a memorial garden.

I made rawkla house into my memorial house but not just of sad but of fond memories. There's even a river and right ambience for peace.

As someone else suggested, you could create a character resembling your mother. My dad does that. He has like 5 characters each called a variation of my mom's ( his wife) name. It's sweet really. It's like all his adventures in mmos are completed together with her.

I'm very sorry for your loss, OP.

I'm also very sorry to see so many people who feel like it's their job and their job alone to be the harsh voice of reality instead of, oh I don't know, leaving it alone and letting the OP dream. I can't imagine why someone would think that it was their personal duty to crap all over someone's hope, regardless of whether it's a realistic one or not. As the OP's wishes do not automatically change reality in any way that affects other players, leaving it up to ZOS to act or not would be more than sufficient, so I have to regard all of these remarks from the reality police as excuses for people to enjoy being cruel. You don't have to agree or encourage something to remain silent about it and let it be.

Imagine if NPCs had an actual memorial backstory from players in game. I think that would bring a whole new level to the game.

Bait or not - this one would much rather lean towards decency and compassion than assume the worst and potentially hurt someone at their darkest time. This one would rather be wrong than be cruel.

I'm sorry to the OP or anyone else who lost someone close in their life. However, I don't think these types of threads should be on the forum.

Not trying to be rude. I don't know when my parents will die but this thread makes me want to cry thinking about how my mini schnauzer only has around 6 years left, and then seeing other stories about players losing someone makes me want to cry more.

Very sorry for your loss. It's gonna be rough for you especially the first year, but in time, the pain fades. Let yourself cry it out or block it from your mind. There's nothing wrong with either approach. Just try to go a day at a time and don't let it change who you are.

Oh...you will probably make small life-mistakes that you would normally never make. It's okay to lock the keys in the car or make mistakes doing something you've done many times before. Whether you feel it or not, you will be kind of a mess for a while. It's normal. Just do the best you can.

I see requests like this a lot in other games too and it simply won't work. The problem is where do you stop? If you do this for one person you have to do it for everyone. The game would be full of memorials to people that, well to be blunt and honest, no one but one person knows.

Find ways in real life to honor your mothers memory instead.
