Curious to know how effective they are in pvp, also if anyone knows any good hybrid builds, it would be greatly appreciated.

Far better than it has been in the last 2 years. Though not many hybrids exist from what I've seen. I can't really recommend any build because they will all be difficult to play without practice and effort. They also will have to be fine tuned for what you want to achieve.

If you do plan on making a hybrid, I'd recommend you first determine a few things in this exact order. Have the answer s to all of this on paper before you do anything AND take advantage of the PTS server where possible:

    (1) What role will you take in PvP? Tank, healer, DD? Alone or not?

    (2) What do you hope to accomplish?

    (3) Following what you hope to accomplish, what race do you think is best? Does that race have a serious advantage over Khajit and Dunmer? If so, is it worth it? Does it improve the role you decided to take earlier?

    (4) What class have you chosen? How does this fit with your goal and role?

    (5) What does the class lack? How can you cover those holes in the build? (NOTE: This should be though of for every pvp buld)

    (6) What armor type will you be wearing?

    (7) What sets have you chosen and how will they help you either survive longer or do damage? Pelinial's build or non-Pelinials (warning, these non-Pelinials builds are stronger, but will take a lot of thought)

    (8) What monster set/mundus can you use to further compensate for problems in the build?

    (9) What weapon types and skills will you use? How will these skills help solve potential weak points in your build?

    (10) If in CP, distribute the CP only AFTER you have tested the build a bit or be prepared to change it often.

After you answer all of that, take it for a test and see how it performs. It will take a while to find a build that works in PvP because you will be at a disadvantage if your hybrid is not built in a way that fits you, and it will take practice and testing to find the build you want. You should record your deaths and take notes on what killed you and how. There will also be the problem of damage v. sustain, but I do most of my damage from light attacks and animation cancelling.

From what I've seen, hybrids have their advantages in PvP. I actually enjoy my hybrids more than my mag builds (that should say something about the pathetic state of mag right now, but let's not get into that :D ).

The only disadvantage is that I usually have two daggers, 1HS, destro staves, resto staves, and 2H. Because of that the cost starts adding up to make that stuff legendary...! I carry more than one set as well, and try to repurpose gear that I already have every time. Sadly, testing on live in Cyrodiil is the only real way to get good input on a hybrid build...

Dragonknight is the only class that can pull off competitive hybrids. Look builds up on youtube.
