I believe tanks have the responsibility to provide crowd control the same way that it is the healer's responsibility to provide resources.
While it is not the "main" responsibility, it is still one of them nonetheless.
Most mobs will die before u can cc and silver leash them all. So ya its part of tanking , but half the time you dont need to . The other half ya dps needs help. It does take the pressure off of low dps.
I got the feeling a lot of these answers are not gonna be from tanks.
Always nice to hear 'awesome tank' after a run where all I did was do my job.

And also have this feeling that many of these are also those lovely pugs that think that is their job to run ahead of tank pulling everything they see.

I’m a Templar tank and it is the only option I have to really get anything like talons
So I’ll only be grabbing the large adds and bosses and the rest will be up to the do’s
Thanks pvp
I'm a templar tank and have gotten some people in the group that are snarky about the lack of chains/grouping despite knowing that the class doesn't have anything like that. This is for the normal easy dungeons never vet. So I've quit doing them unless forced to for events. 1 bad experience ruins all the 1000 good runs. Haven't ventured into dungeons after getting Time Stop so maybe that would help now.
Silver Leash and Time Stop for templar Tanks. Time Stop is getting a double cost increase next week so you’ll have to get more Psijic quests done for the cost reduction passives if you’re serious about it.

Some dungeons have layouts that make no crowd control real aggravating. Darkshade Caverns 1 is one of these, so many people wipe to the big mob pull, it's hard on healers with baddies on them and dps dying left and right. Any help, like Swarm Mothers even, helps there.

Find a guildie or friend that meets the requirements ... which will save you from ranting in the forums later.

Those types of dps speedsters that go head first into mobs are the reason Earth Gore is so clutch in PVE.
