Do restorationv and lighting staff heavy attacks count as channeled abilities?

If so the highelf passive for protection might not suck but if they don't that's a pretty weak passive given that channeled abilities are pretty much elusive to Templar and everyone literally hates them because they arnt rotation friendly or really fit into the games fast paced combat at all

YUP. Heavy attacks from fire/ice/2h/DW/bow also count for the passive because they are considered cast time attacks.
All of that should be tested on PTS to confirm; as far as I know no one has tested it yet, but that is how soulshine/light of cyro works so it shouldnt be any different.

Oof. Tbh I just ignored that passive in consideration, but that's pretty big.
