Like honestly every other post I see on here is people complaining or crying about the changes that are being made "and still not set in stone" people begging for a refund of there newly purchased DLC that has yet to be released and is still on the PTS and I'm sure more changes are still to come until final release. Even if they don't change many thing more then what's been announced I still don't understand what the problem is?!?! Like really are you new to MMO games? Do you not understand that change is alwaysgoing to happen? If ESO was like any other carebear game that just has the same mechanics then I would have quit or never even gave the game a chance to begin with. Learn to play or learn to adapt end of story plain and simple

P.S but on a side note if any of you decide to quit and play on Xbox NA or EU please mail me your gold and mats

Thank you for your time

ESO is unique. It's grounded in 20+ years of lore. There is an expectation for ZOS to respect that lore.

I feel like all the Skyrim kids are just trying to hold on to just that. But it still comes down to its an MMO and chance is inevitable and has to happen you either learn to adapt and keep playing a game you enjoy or just quit. No need to come on the the forums crying about a refund and how much you hate the changes. just quit the game and move on to something else that will cater to your playstyle and @MLGPROPLAYER don't think directing this towards you I'm directing this towards people that don't understand that changes always happens in MMOs all the time just like from the beginning of this game from having no CP to a CP system to nerfs and buffs to all out broken system. Change happen sooner or later learn to adapt and get better.

It's an Elder Scrolls game first. Otherwise, they should't have called it The Elder Scrolls Online.

ZOS can still balance around the lore. They don't need to disregard it.

Are you new to mmos? Did you know that beta and ptr means nothing? Bs changes that nobody likes pretty much always go through, did you guys forget about morrowind? Virtually no one liked those changes.

Guys, it's just the alpha, guys it;s just the beta, guys it's just the ptr, guys i know that the change went live, but please have faith, NO, for how long are you gonna use the same argument over and over? For how long are you gonna try to protect your precious company from criticism? What do you even get out of it?

I'm open minded to the changes...but some of them are baffling...and some are outright bad.
This is a forum where people are encouraged to talk about the game. That goes for both the good and bad. A lot of feedback is considered from these posts...trying to silence that could be bad for the game overall.

If you can't handle the forum at its worst, you don't deserve to be around for its best.

In all seriousness, if you don't like a topic, you have the freedom to not read it. No use complaining about people complaining.

People! People! This is an mmo! So what if they add Gungan Klingons and Jedi Vulcans! lol it was always going to change! XD XD haven’t you played a game before? I fully support Gandalf teaching Defense against the Dark Arts.

Listen, when they added police car mounts to Tera I gave up so yeah it’s important to me that there is some consistency within an established IP. If this was their first rodeo that would be fine, but it isn’t. They are the ones who made this bed. Over 5 games they made this bed. “Shaking it up” for the sake of “looking busy” is not a valid explanation.

I'm new to MMOs. ESO is my first MMO. I came here from Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind.

That being said, I learned that ZOS is going to change things every update to generate horizontal progression by watching as ZOS change things every update since One Tamriel.

Sometimes its small changes to gear and classes that impact a few playstyles. Sometimes larger changes like #Nerfmire. Sometimes its massive gameplay shifts like the Great Morrowind Sustain Nerfs. Rarely, its buffs, like increased light attack damage from Summerset.

    ESO is not stagnant.

No I am not new to MMOs or troll threads like yours. These changes are going to cost a lot of money to all the players that have supported the game since beta. Zos showed their greed by putting the race change tokens on sale for a large discount of 16% off. On the pts they are making more major changes but you wouldn't really understand that as you are on Xbox and not on the pts. :*

Maybe if they would go back to a paid subscription model the troll threads would lessen.

Not all players chase meta. Also the racial differences are so small. You would have to pull 50k+ dps to see +/- 1-2k. And Zos is giving everyone 3 free race and name change tokens. So where's the problem? People crying in forums like the game gonna be broken, their toons lightyears behind others, quiting threads, refunds etc. Lmao. What's wrong with you.
And its costing you alot of money? Lol. If you are really that nerdy then maybe you deserve your money taken away.

I'm not new to MMOs. But it gets tiring to see any hard work you put in a character be reduced or trivialized in a blink of an eye. Yes, all this is old hat when it comes to MMOs, but that doesn't mean we have to like it or just take it.

As it stands, I'm a little apprehensive how they will "fix" the CP system in the future.

    There's a few things here....

It's a game. You're supposed to have fun.

If you make it your life's work.... that's not really fun (or if that IS your fun.... I bet your cardiologist is frothing at the mouth).

Seriously people. If you aren't the meta - you haven't lost anything. Then again, if chasing the meta is what you live for.... I'm sorry for you. The one thing I KNOW from the MMOs I've played (including but certainly not limited to this one):

Chasing meta will... be a very bad thing for your health.

eh, it's an MMO set in the elder scrolls universe, of course they'd call it elder scrolls online... its an MMO game first and foremost, Elder scrolls universe is not a game, it is the setting for the game.

Also, sincere question... are people complaining about the changes because they are not lore friendly? And if so, how?

Ironically enough, those that are truely new to MMOs are the ones surprised by the amount of negative backlash developers get during every..single.. patch cycle they go through. Turns out people don't like change that much unless they are the ones that initiate it.

Change is always going to happen. There is a difference between GOOD changes and BAD changes.

WoW kept making changes, and while some of them were good, most of them ended up being bad. WoW has now lost a large part of its population, and has alienated their core playerbase.

Personally I found it interesting how everyone suddenly cared about lore once racial changes happened. There's been plenty if lore issues people could have battled before and didn't.

Whilst I'm not a one for chasing meta, and firmly believe lore can and should evolve to serve gameplay, if you're going to piggyback your game off the back of a huge gaming franchise, you should at least stick to fundamental lore.

Skyrim? Checks folder what is this Oblivion and Morrowind 🤔

What confuses me is how Altmer is supposed to be a mag dmg race according to them but got stam regen?? Why not give them more spell dmg or mag instead of a completely useless passive, idk how stam regen fits the mag dmg category

As for the crying that’s how you let them no the changes are whack, it exists in every game and if you’d ever played another MMO you’d know that
