The new bosmer passive

Hello, I would like to take a second to talk for a moment about our beloved lolis: bosmers. They are bis in cuteness, a great race, and they did get a bit the D in the last patch notes. And tbh, it is fair. 20% movement speed was a bit extreme, and the new 10% is more in line with something that is valuable but not crazy strong. You can kinda feel it in pts, and it feels good. There are some issues tho.
1) Despite being a good passive, the movement speed/pen one is weird as you tend to use dodges defensively rather than offensively. I do understand that you guys had to compensate the loss of speed somehow, and such change could actually be interesting to use to turn a fight in pvp, but I don't see much use in pve since you tend to cap pen anyhow (not that I really care about pve but it was worth mentioning).
2) The 3s. I do understand that 20% movement speed lasting 4s after the dodge roll completed was a bit too much, but could that be a thing now that the value has been reduced? Running X weapon/ bow is already kinda a turn down and not really a used combination except on non stamnb classes, the duration feels...weird. The expedition on bow is already very short due to the master nerf to all movement speed sources, would it be too much to ask for an increase in duration of the speed and pen passive to meet the one of hasty retreat? That could (maybe) make 2h/bows build a bit better on non nb classes.

Tying the penetration to dodge roll is a little lack luster. My first character in the Elder Scrolls was an woodelf, but the current passive changes make me not want to play one. I was really hopping that they would make a woodelf good in pvp and pve and the current suggested changes only make the passive viable in pvp under certain circumstances.

ZOS needs to rework the penetration off the dodge roll. Make this race viable in pve and pvp. Maybe give it 1000 penetration with 100% up time. This by far is not the only solution. All race passives need to be able to stand on there own minus a C/D if it is a strong passive.

Id rather the penetration was made into resists, dodgeroll is something you do to defend, not offend.

A bit true. Comparing the 3s pen and movement speed to, for example, orc's sprint speed speed, heals, health and damage makes me want to race change. But who know, it's week 3, let's hope!

When you roll your penetration increases for 2 seconds? After the roll animation is finished and you can cast abilities how much of those 2 seconds have you left to actually benefit from the new passive? This is the worst change of all the terrible changes they made in latest PTS patch...

Suggested on the Altmer thread, give the penetration to Altmers, give Bosmers snare immunity for 2 sec after dodge roll.

This could be a little strong but still really pvp oriented. The race passives should be effective in PvP and PvE. I do like the out of the box thiking.

Resistance boost after rolling would be nice as well. Nice defensive bonus in pve, and in PvP. Penetration after roll is situational at best, and virtually worthless in PVE. Especially considering trials where max pen is already reached.

I dont think anyone in pvp is gonna dodgeroll for the sake of gaining 1500 penetration. When you dodge its because you in trouble, and youd need a defencive buff like 1500 resists or 2s snare immunity/cleanse on dodge.

I just trying to go with the original design of the passive, the 20% speed boost was more oriented toward pvp than pve and was changed only because it was too strong specifically in pvp. So I thought suggesting a change that maintain the purpose in a different way. If 2 sec snare immunity is too strong it could 50% snare resistance for 3 sec, or something like that.

    ^ this
Snare removal on roll dodge will be really unique and good thing, without making race OP in plain stats.

With how the game is right now, 2s snare immunity are strong but deserved. Moving in medium is so damn difficult, it's stupid.

Right now most stam have to still use lover to get to pen cap. The 1000 pen would allow the movement of CP to make them different. I would like the see removing the dodge roll for the penetration and lowering it to 1000.

I'd gladly trade the extra 600 stamina and magicka that Dunmer got for 1000 physical and spell penetration. Wanna trade?

Give them the passive permanently, period...

    Well that would be cool.
If the bonuses stay as is now, ill 100% spend one of them free racechanges for going orc or darkelf. Its a shame tho, I kinda like being bosmer for characteristic purposes (if there is such a thing)

I think the attempt of giving the race something unique is cool. So the only time i can see dodge roll for attack is while running Air, Senche, and Truth (in cp). So Bosmers not only becoming useless it is only viable while running 3 sets.

It's funny how Orcs get 1k more max stats, a healing passive and a better mobility passive than Woodelves...

I can see where ZOS are coming from with the dual buff after dodge roll, it allows you to choose whether you want to defend or attack, so a dodge roll can be used to reposition and decide to flee or re-engage. It's an interesting idea.

Personally I think Bosmer should have a permanent stealth speed bonus of ~10% to suit their stealthy hunter lore.

Having passives tied to dodge roll makes it almost inconsequential for PvE.

(Orc speed boost is only while sprinting btw.)
