How are things going in ESO?

Haven't played since Morrowind and am kind of thinking of coming back to check it out. I always leave because I don't want to just copy/paste an Alcast build for my NB, but I also lack the knowledge about the game's mechanics and sets to make a unique build that is going to be strong enough for harder content. I never did Summerset and now with Elswyr coming I feel the ESO flu symptoms taking hold.

How are things overall? Meta still full of nothing but caltrops and endless hail builds? Is it at least more flexible now? Elswyr looking good? How was Summerset? Cyrodiil still alive? I heard they now give more Crowns for the ESO+ too?

Everything is bad for NB mostly, nerfs, nerfs, nerfs. Pingeonholed meta, cyrodiil lags and full of tank trolls, you are welcome ^^

There will always be a meta for endgame pve and Alcast presents that meta like it is.

The rest of your questions can only be answered by personal opinion but it's my impression that the latest chapter was well received and that the player base is looking forward to the next.

So the meta is still just all Stam players running the same 5 or so skills with a few class skills peppered in?

I've recently completed a few Normal mode group dungeons Solo with an Imperial 2H Stamina Dragon Knight with only one skill bar and no ultimates.

That is about the best I can do on answering your question on game play. As for the rest, the stories are worth playing for my part. Yes the crown allotment went up in I think November '18.

Mhm. I appreciate any answer. I guess if I really want to ever come up with something more unique I will have to really dig deep into how sets work and the game's mechanics and whatnot. Seems like that's just the reality. I think I'm gonna re-install at the very least just to check out the story stuff and run around Cyrodiil a little bit. I always enjoy that no matter what.

Cyrodil is heavy meta, spin to win atm lag the usual. Magika spec in PVE is good for end game even preferred in some places, so no stams not domiating except in PVP.

Also set diversity unless doing score runs pretty much wear whatever u want, i have frost skin equipped with bloodspawn, ironblood and graced gloom sets on my tank its extremely fun super tanky + best of all my toon switches between being made of ice/stone/metal/shadow 😀

pve meta feels same, IF u can still play in cyrodill without any lag or disconnecting, there is a heavy armor meta atm but light/medium armor builds are viable also. But yea lag over everything
