But can we know that for sure? I'd leave room for the possibility that OP didn't write that review. Heck, we don't even know if OP read that review.

Disagree. You conveniently ignore the fact that 95% of the game is PvE and hyper-fixate on the small, niche PvP side of the game. You barely touch on PvE at all - an indication that your review is biased against 95% of the game. As such, you've basically done 5% of a review of the game.

Furthermore, you insist that ZOS is out of touch with their player base to the detriment of the game mode, which is just false. ZOS and @ZOS_BrianWheeler, in particular, have tried to keep communication open with the players regarding performance in Cyrodiil. They've done many fixes over the past year alone in an attempt to improve performance, and added new features as well, and they've made clear that they are still working on improving performance in the future along with even more new features. Keep in mind that these improvements are being made even though PvP is still a very niche mode in ESO. Most players do not and will not PvP. I honestly don't know what more you could want. The PvP team has been trying their best to make things better, but these things take time. Now that Wheeler has gotten a promotion, perhaps PvP will take a slightly higher priority.

To be frank, if you want to see what it really looks like when a game company is out of touch with its players, look to Activision Blizzard. There is no comparison to ZOS. Not even close.

Also if your complaint is the "lack of balance" in PvP, you need to realize that "balance" in any PvP game mode in an MMO is a very difficult objective, and the fact that PvE and PvP are balanced together in ESO makes PvP "balance" even more difficult - to the point that "balance" is basically a pipedream. There will never be some mythical, perfect "balance". It is naive to expect such.

    Favorite Foods and Potions

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

ESO is mostly PVE, not PVP. Your review is only about PVP. Can never truly balance PVP. It isn't possible. Proc sets all over the place, different builds, different CP (in the CP campaign) levels and on and on. It simply is not possible to "balance" PVP unless every PVP player has the same exact build with the same exact Abilities slotted all on the same Latency and on and on. Not gonna happen.

2637 hours in the game since Beta. I don't use Steam so my hours are counted in game on each character at just over 13,000 hours. I highly recommend ESO to anyone looking to play the best MMO available.

The second paragraph where OP states the game seems more like an MMORPG when one reaches end game seems to be rooted in being uninformed.

In the months leading up to the game Zos devs clearly stated this is an MMORPG set in the world of Elder Scrolls. Not an Elder Scroll game with MMO features. So what OP states is exactly what the game was billed as.

It also seems uninformed since there is a lot one can do after reaching max level without actually grouping with others. Something ESO was severely lacking when the game launched.

I did not read past that since it really seemed more that OP is out of touch with the actual information provided by Zos before the game launched and the solo content available in game right now after finishing leveling up (which leveling zones are pretty much the original zones)

Regardless, they are entitled to their opinion.

Edit. I tried to read further. I read the first sentence of the third paragraph. Again demonstrates how OP is really so out of touch with the game. The game launched with 15 major zones for PvE and only one zone for PvP. None of the PvE zones had any means for PvP. Yet if the OP wanted to PvE they would have bought another TES game (instead of this one) this game that is so much focused on PvE. That sentence really seemed odd being this game is so clearly focused on PvE,

I will agree sometimes in a battleground encounter one team can dominate the others. Beyond that though nope.

Battleground is just like other group activity. If you pug it you don't know what you are going to get.

Why would you even post a link to that on here? You think people would congratulate you and think you are cool or something for downvoting the game after 2,600 hours. You think zos support are going to follow that link and suddenly feel like they should bend over backwards for you to fix whatever issues you have with the game?

I think you misunderstand how the matching system works. It’s not your pvp rank, it’s your current standing in the weekly battleground ranking that decided who you are matched against.

When you say pvp is exhilarating but can make you feel terrible too, it sounds like you’re saying you hate losing and live winning...
Looking for any guildies I used to play with:

    tl;dr summary of the review:
    - The fun of the game diminishes with time after exploring and getting all items after 2000+ hours
    - When you get a good match it's exhilarating, when you get a bad match it's horrendous.
    - One ability on the live servers was bugged.

So you avoid PVE content, then complain the game offers nothing else to you for end-game. If you've played that much since beta, you played a lot of pvp before battlegrounds came out. If you have solely PVP'd for that long, later integrating battlegrounds into your routine, and you knowingly ignore a large chunk of quality content in PVE? Isn't that unfair to say that's Zos's fault and not yours? This game even has John Cleese as a voice actor for crying out loud! I'm not saying you have to participate in PVE, but acknowledging it has an thriving community and a growing cannon lore, would be fair, whether it is your cup of tea or not.

Buddy... If you played that much, even recently averaging 4h a day almost, and you've been here since 5 years ago.. I'll let you know now, in the nicest way possible to me... You need help finding another hobby. Or finding love and attention somewhere else.

No one that dislikes and doesn't recommend a game will play it that much. Not at all likely. Even more so, you insist on your "review" that you play PvP and ignore pve... You've only played half the game, if that, and that's yet another reason for you to revaluate your standards and/or priorities, both in game and in life. How can you be so displeased with something you haven't even fully tried, even if you have been here since forever?

I'm not saying this to poop on your head.. I'm trying to say something I think any honest friend would say... Go find another game or hobby that makes you happy, go find a girlfriend or boyfriend, dunno.

I hope things get better for you and your life, buddy. Honestly.

    I totally agree with trinity.
But why are you so limiting your self? Why you dont try out trials, dlc dungeons. They are fun, ofcourse they require a little study before playing them, but once you get used to them they're extreamly fun especialy in hard mode. Eso is an mmo dont forget, it cant be rewarding as previous ES games because they are singleplayer, get that to your head. MMOS are build to grind that thing over and over (lol) , but compared to other mmos eso is easy to get what you want fast.
Now your disconnect in BG. Yeah I play them too , I get those disconnects too sometimes, but it's not constant, if it's constant why cant you play it at other times, when less traffic? Work/Study that's your own problem.

I tottaly disagree with your review, Im sorry. It's full page with empty words, you've played since beta , but you've played only 20% of the game and your review is about 1 thing, when there's alot more that eso offers.

I thought it was a good write up of your opinions on current issues. I agree with some points, but not all.

Not sure if I can take a negative review from someone with that amount of hours serious.

This is an extremely good point. That many hours provides a strong demonstration they really do like the game.

I wonder if you would start out a Hearthstone review with mentioning that you didn't like the focus on cards for a World of Warcraft expansion. When do people finally get that this game is not a part of the TES series, made by a different studio and only shares the same lore?
