It is a game over in 15 seconds if you encounter a Stam-NB which cloaks and Dodge half of your attacks and resets the fight whenever they need to.
It is a game over in 10 seconds if you encounter a Stam Warden, their good sustain allows them to fully spec into damage, their aoe subterranean attack shows 7k damage on my recap, my curse on the other hand, a single targeted delayed attack, does only 4k damage.

...and they started PvP 2 hours ago.
Magsorc is still decent, no mistakes about that. It got a mobility bump on the whole, and shields are still good when properly built-for. I think for group content they still bring 1 token sorc for some buffs + conduit synergy. In PvP they're not that bad for both CP / nonCP, just not as widely used as they were before the nerfs. I've ran across a handful of good sorcs around Cyrodiil and in duels.0 -

✭It is strong in PvP if you get tanky, and know how to alternate between defence and offence. It has the best mobility, good burst damage, snares, but lack in heals and sustain, which is OK given all the other advantages.
However I miss the more magicka focused combat, I mean less physical armor or resists, and more magic types of defences (shields). Shield stacking was an issue, but the whole shield idea was right with the class type of a mage. Even though I play a magsorc in PvP, I don't like the runecage stun, and I do not use it because I find it cheesy. But in noncp mag sorc is in a really strong position in my opinion.
I am a petsorc build with really low recovery and still be able to sustain shield stacking. The Burst Damage always was and still is very high on magsorc.
I agree that healing is weak especially with the nerf to healing ward thats one of the reasons why i wanted to try the pet heal
But tbh u dont need healing on magsorc when u shield stack properly and rely on resto ult when u getting ultdumped or attacked by a sloads/oblivion abuserProud Member of Triggered Tryhards

For all you guys saying mag sorc sucks, I'm not sure what to tell you other than l2p. Mag sorc is one of the best classes in the game for solo pvp and NA PC has seen mag sorcs win dueling tournaments this patch. I honestly don't understand how anyone could possibly think this class is bad.
And stop talking about pve in a pvp forum.8
