Maintenance for the week of October 5:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – October 8, 8:00AM EDT (12:00 UTC) – 12:00PM EDT (16:00 UTC)
The Markarth DLC and Update 28 base game patch are now available to test on the PTS! Read the full patch notes here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/categories/pts/

Can you please push major bugfixes already implemented on the PTS, to the live servers?

If a bugfix you've implemented on the PTS is working, why don't you just push it in the next maintenance? Specifically, this Scatter Shot fix. If you can consistently determine that it worked, just push it next maintenance. Don't make us wait an entire month for a fix that you've already implemented.

EDIT: Reworded the title to be clearer.

Okay, the title wasn't entirely clear. But if you had read the post, you'd know that I am not talking about making coders work harder.

These fixes are already implemented on the PTS. Look at the patch notes. Look at the dozens upon dozens upon dozens of bugfixes, some major, such as the Scatter Shot bug. The coders don't have to work weekends, because their work is already done on the PTS.

What I'm asking is instead of just queuing all those fixes up for Wrathstone or whatever quarterly DLC is going to release the next month, push them to the live game through the weekly maintenance periods, if they are confirmed to be working.

This is easy to do with an adequate source control system, which I can guarantee they're using internally. Git has a command called 'cherry-pick', which essentially fetches a specific commit (or set of changes) from an external project or a different branch/version of the same project. If the PTS is one unique project, and the Live version of the game is another unique project, they can add the PTS project to the Live project (basically creating a reference to the PTS within the Live project), then use 'cherry-pick' to fetch whatever commit contains the bugfixes, fix up any merge errors, then simply push that to the Live project. Queue that up in next week's maintenance, boom, all bugfixes on the PTS are pushed to the live game.

The problem with pushing them to live right now would be that while they have undergone internal testing, they haven't undergone proper testing with actual players. So there may be a chance that while the fix worked on the internal server it won't work on the live server for some reason. It has happened in the past.

What if the bug fixes on PTS actually causes more bugs and are implemented only on PTS to make sure they dont cause any more bugs !?🤔
