Shield nerf and sorc ability to solo content

I used to be able to solo literally any of the PvE content in this game on my sorc (minus the vet dungeons, although I could solo a few of them).
But since the shield nerf, I am having real difficulty soloing world bosses, never mind dungeons. I am not even going to try vMSA....

So my question is, is it possible to solo world bosses now? I mean, ALL of them on sorc, including the ones in Wrothgar

If so, can you post the build you use to do this please, as I am having trouble.....

And please don't reply "world bosses aren't meant to be solo'd".
I want to solo them as I play very late at night/ early in the morning when there aren't many people around.

    Bro vMSA is so easy on a sorc. Just have high crit and keep surge up and you can heal through a lot. I never use the shield ability

    It wasn't a face roll though. It was intense, especially the bosses in Wrothgar and the vet dungeons.
    Now they are seemingly impossible.

    Try investing more in the spell resist and light armor physical resist trees in CP, as well ad going Hardened Ward. The shields will use your resists, and Hardened Ward’s cap is 50% health. Also try getting higher health.

    Soloing The Imperfect is one of my favorite ways to warm up.

    Shield stacking is still a thing and you could always wear Iceheart for that extra protection. Lightning Form will strengthen your damage shields now so make sure you have decent resistances. I like to roll dodge when I know some heavy hitting bs is about to hit me and then I'll use dark deal to get my stamina back up (this also boosts my crit due to the exploitation passive). For maximum effectiveness I always keep spell crit pots active (bugloss, lady's smock, and water hyacinth) when doing serious content.

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

    Are you sure shields use my resists? Can you point me to the patch notes where it says that because they didn't have any kind of resists before.

    Good. They are -group- content. If you can't solo, that means it's an appropriate difficulty.

    Well, my sorc can still solo Wrothgar WBs, expect the pesky mage ones, but never could before. My build is More Defense then Offense, but I still am not using Lighting form or even a shield for that matter. I pull 20k DPS solo target :P helps to have the VMA lighting and Fire Staff ( took over 30 runs to get the lighting Staff) As for my set, I use Necro with Brass fort gear. I don't need to kill things, fast as long as I can stay alive Forever :D
