Anyone else feeling ripped off by Elsweyr price?

We've bought ESO..
We bought Morrowind.
We bought Summerset.

Now you want us to REBUY them?

I say REBUY, Because we don't recieve a discount for already owning the previous installments.
Do we PRE-OWNERS get any OTHER bonuses for this purchase?
or are we all getting shafted for $80(at least)?

Pro tip: don't buy Elsewyr because next year it will be free with the next chapter! But, you don't want to buy that chapter because it will be free the year after, etc, etc, etc. You played Morrowind for two years by then and Summerset for one. It's not a rip off, it's simply older content.

I see your point, and zos could stand to do something nice for existing owners, maybe some free crowns or something. Personally, I don't mind paying for actual meaningful new content. What I hate is getting nickel and dimed on race change tokens and that sort of thing. While I'm not excited about Elsweyr, I don't really have a problem with the price. That's just my take on it.

At first i thought the upgrade was 60 too but after looking around a bit quickly i found out the upgrade costs 40 like the other ones, the 60 is for the people who are new to the game

Huh? It's like £20 if you just buy basic upgrade. And the other DLC are free!!

£20 a year is a cheap hobby.

I'm more narked there's no real reason to get it like previous chapters, i WANT to support them. But we had battlegrounds, jewellery, psjics before on top of class & pve content. Mazda this time to tempt me

The prices for me are different based on if it’s Elsweyr upgrade only or includes the additional base game/Expansion upgrades

On UK steam store I can pay
£24.99 for Elsweyr Digital Upgrade for the Chapter Only
£34.99 for the collectors edition whic is the £24.99 and digital CE content
Then there’s options for £39.99 and £49.99 which is for Elsweyr, base game and Morrowind/Summerset.

I can't imagine feeling ripped off by the chapters. The chapters are fairly priced. I just hate that it's not being treated like an annual pass where if I want the full story, I have to buy a 1500 crown dungeon DLC, the chapter for $29.99, another 1500 crown dungeon DLC and a 2000 crown expansion DLC.

Not to mention it's a *** mess for new players. Even if someone buys the $79.99 ESO "collection" that still leaves five dungeon DLCs, Clockwork and Murkmire in addition to these this year.

Do I feel ripped off? Well yes, because they're selling just one tiny zone for the same price I paid them for the full game with a dozen of such zones. But I feel only very slightly ripped off, because it's still quite a good deal for what we're getting. It's just not as good as some other deals I've had before.

Already bought it, I spend way more time in ESO than I do watching my TV and I pay a lot more for my TV package.

Like all things if you feel ripped off then don't do it ....... simples.

This is the only game I play that I always pre-order, mainly because its always been value for money, plus I couldn't pass up the new horse as it really goes well with my black Xivkyn armor.

Seriously I spend more than the price of this download taking the family to the Cinema to see 1 film!

I pre purchased it, £25 is a bit steep, but I really want to play the necromancer class, and I love Khajiit lore.

Just wish they would put some of that money they earn into server performance. I am happy to hear they are making the imperial city it's own zone, I really hope that helps to make cyrodiil less laggy at times.

Digital collectors upgrade for me is £34.99 (thats the great british pound)

Just the digital upgrade is £24.99.

I think there the same prices as the previous chapters if memory serves me correctly.

No, I am not feeling ripped off. Not at this point in time, at least. The upgrade cost of Elsweyr is less than Morrowind, but more than Summerset. What I get needs to be nicely situated between the two, as well.

Only reason I can think of is because it includes a new class.
