Post made by @Masel in another thread (Many Thanks!) shows that Nord comes out as the ultimate worst in every aspect, even after the new currently proposed changes.
A nord! One of the most iconic races. Why... This is really sad. They're not just useless drunks. They deserve love. They deserve some power. But right now they look sadly pathetic.
The new 5 ultimate every 10 seconds on taking damage is a neat idea but badly executed. Anything that can be done?
I mean look... It almost indicates Nord players might as well be labeled as having no race. The difference between Nord and None is so tiny.

...In order to prove some of this, i made an excel sheet where i implemented these into a standard build for stamina and magicka DDs in PvE. Magicka build was (as far as i remember) Zaan, Siroria and Sorrow/Spell Strategist, while the stamina version uses Relequen+Advancing Yokeda+Velidreth.
Formula is the same as above.
Here's the comparison of effective spell power and weapon power:
Here, altmer comes out as the clear winner, and for stamina, dunmer puts out the highest damage. This does not yet factor in sustain components. In order to do so, I introduced a ranking system that basically just ranks races based on damage and sustain with equal weights. The weights can ofc be adjusted, so if sustain is more important to you, the ranks will change accordingly.
With equal weights, altmer still comes out on top, but not by much. Shifting the weights towards sustain more and more makes breton the best choice.
Shifting the weights to 30% sustain and 70% damage yields the following:
And the other way around:
It all depends on what you need, and the gaps are not as cear and big as many make them seem.

I almost feel like ultigen might be the only really fun way to play a nord. But I'm still skeptical.
Like an Ultigen Synergy build with whatever jewelry trait ups synergies. Still would be forced into a certain playstyle. -

And you see nothing wrong with "forcing" a race into a specific playstyle to do really well? Nothing wrong with being really bad in terms of pure freedom of choice? Wasn't the point of the racial changes to allow more versatility?

I think Imperial is back in the #1 spot with the change on Red Diamond and the addition of the block/bash reduction.
Changing the Nord damage reduction into phys/spell resists really lessened the pull of Nord for me. It's very simple to hit the resist cap with gear+passives+skills without putting anything else into it, so this is a waste of a passive for tanking IMO since there isn't anything to positively offset it.PC-NA Goat -
