ESO and the confusion it can bring. The berries are just one of them.

Looking to make some food or drink? Well, you will need to dig through til you find it, cause its not alphabetized. Looking to see if you have a complete 5 piece set? Well you can alphabetize that, but hey, we are not going to make it simple. Lets see, I got Burning Spellweave Shoes, I got Burning Spellweave Gloves, and I got Burning Spellweave Belt. I see I have Burning Spellweave Inferno Staff too, now if I only had a Burning Spellweave Healing Staff? Oh wait, looky down here in the S section...Staff of Grove. That is all too common and really test's your nerves. Something of weapon, weapon of something, gloves of this, that of gloves. No consistency whatsoever.

As for the Indrik, they purposely made it complicated by not being uncomplicated in the first place. So ya, a lot of us know how it works now, but its been a mess from the beginning, and that is why you still see posts everyday from people trying to figure it out. For those who say just hit F1 and its right there. I call *** as it took me until just today to really finally understand what I need to do to get all 5 Indriks.

I will try to explain the berries as how I understand them. The easy answer is that there is currently one berry in the store and buying more than 1 will be tickets wasted. There is one berry available now. It is 1 of 4 that will become available over the next few months. If you have bought this first available berry and are now coming up to 10 tickets, Do Not Buy Another of the same Berry. Use one of your alts to buy one of the 4 feathers that your alt does not have yet. My main character currently has an Indrik and the one berry, my alt has 3 of the 4 feathers needed for a second Indrik some day. Please do not post spelling and grammer corrections, I am already aware that I am lazy and uneducated. Thanks...

Literally everything about the process for evolving the Indrik is as plain as day

It is all spelled out on one page as clearly as possible in a way that leaves absolutely zero misunderstandings if you actually read it. People giving it a shallow once over or wanting it to work some way other than it is explicitly outlined does not mean the explanation was confusing.

It’s no one’s fault but your own if you didn’t read that very important line that you need, and I quote, “all four unique Indrik Berries”

I referenced your type in the F1 comment. Why are you responding if its plain as day to you?

I referenced your type in the F1 comment. Why are you responding if its plain as day to you?

Because the topic of your thread is misleading.

It doesn't bring confusion to everyone ... it only confuses those who don't read (or half-read) the ZOS official news posts on the Indrik.

But, hey, you don't even have to read that.

Event details are also in the in-game help.

Or, if you're a regular forums-goer, you could just read the prior posts/threads on the topic.

How is it misleading? The title was about ESO, the Indrik was just one example. I bet people could add dozens of examples of confusion.

I think this is more of a problem with software development as a whole, than it is a problem with ZOS specifically.

Decades ago, almost all software was planned and mapped out, but those days are gone and now it's all about getting a product or feature with the highest demand to the consumer as quickly as possible. It's really obnoxious, because these methods of production lead to prioritizing artificially important things like vanity items over more important things like documentation; an appealing and intuitive user interface with useful built in tools; or hell, a comprehensive tutorial to explain the game's mechanics. As long as they are producing deliverables I'm sure they feel ok with themselves, but it is getting rather old dealing with the same *** UI and documentation that was mostly non-existent up until this past year.

Actually, know what? I didn't know that things like disease and poison damage types had their own inherent effects beyond being named differently than other damage types. But, after I quit for a year, then came back and read the new help guides, I learned that all fire damage can cause a burning DoT, and disease can hinder healing! Where in the hell was I, or anyone else supposed to find, and read about this stuff without knowing where to look for it - it's like you had to know about it, to find info on it, but if you knew about it, you don't need to look it up. Hence the need for documentation! Not more motifs, not more dungeons!

    TL;DR I agree!

“The berries are just one of [the confusing things in ESO]”

And yet we were told exactly how this set of berries would be released
Each unique Q1 event will provide you with the opportunity to buy new Indrik Berries from the Impresario

when each one would be released
Midyear Mayhem (In January!) – Dawnwood Berries of Bloom
Morrowind Celebration – Dawnwood Berries of Budding
Thieves Guild & Dark Brotherhood Celebration – Dawnwood Berries of Growth
Jester’s Festival – Dawnwood Berries of Ripeness

Even that you needed 1 of each unique berry for the Dawnwood Indrik
The first set of Indrik Berries that arrive with 2019’s Q1 events (January – March) allow you to transform your current Nascent Indrik into a Dawnwood Indrik!
Once you have all four unique Indrik Berries, use any of them to transform your Nascent Indrik mount, replacing it in your Collections UI with a new, evolved one!

Hell it even told everyone that the Berries would be for evolutions exclusive to their particular quarter. How anyone thought using the four from this quarter would let you pick any Indrik evolution boggles the mind.
Starting with the Dawnwood Indrik in Q1, each quarter this year will provide a different set of berries AND therefore a different evolution for your Nascent Indrik. ... Please note that the Indrik Berries you can collect each quarter will ONLY be available during that quarter.

There’s been no confusion except what’s been created by players who have only given the article a shallow skim.
