Who is having fun with the PVP event?

My experience for the event i will keep this short..

1) Log in ESO and went to VIVEC where my friends and guilds are, ok 10 people in que not too bad actually, waited for 20-30 min im in!.
2) Got into the group and started to defend Arrius massive battle placed meat bags ect and defended it for over 1 hr soo excited THIS IS FUN ! i will get massive AP.. MASSIVE AP
WOOHHOO !!!!! .
3) Voice Chat is broken... i can't hear anybody talking anymore don't know what is happening the whole group is having the same issue, that is fine we type in chat, fight goes on.
4) Everything is frozen .. ok ..fine it was to be expected im going to get kicked out,i will just logged back in and i will be at the same place before fight ends.
5) Logged back in..... load screen .. ok .... waiting... ok im in.... WHAT IM IN DESHAN!? WHY ?oh man i just lost all of my AP!!! im still in the group.... ok lets go back to VIVEC..
6) Que 268 WTF ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?.
7) Logged out screw this im playing another game.

ZoS you knew from the day one PVP serves are bad , lagg, load screens , bugs, temps Nova ult doing 30k damage in PVP atm ect ect and yet you make a event where everybody MUST go into it to get special item.. really? really? sigh...

What are your thoughts about event ? also im interested to hear what was the longest time people waited to que in.

I waited hours (200+ queue) to get into pop locked Vivec. No dc’s. I’m actually playing the event in the campaign I wanna play in. I’m happy. Better than last Midyear. So far not disappointed AT ALL.

I have almost leveled my alt from zero to rank 10 in BGs during this event and only encounter one broken BG. The issue appears to be just in Cryoland

I have a report to complete by tomorrow morning. Sleeping is not on my schedule. So I have not really been enjoying the event that much. I just did the BG medal quest once a day, with the time I didn't have.

For a while I was lagging like crazy and other people were but we all had low ping and decent FPS.
I kept getting random load screens and really long load screens to enter public dungeons.
Tried 2 different campaigns both we were horribly losing in, played for a good 7 hours today and we barely made any progress since DC were dominating inside IC so I couldn't get that achievement and owned 70% of the map at all times , at all though I've had a few hundred kills out of it and raked up a few times, earned around 400k AP and got a few pieced of Spell Strategist.
I hate the usual though where big zergs result in 2 second cast times and 3 fps even with good PC specs, where you stay in combat so cant mount for several minutes after fighting.
I also tried some battlegrounds something I usually avoid but joined one instantly; 3 green, 3 purp, 1 red proceeded to sit there for 30 minutes finding group and eventually left then got deserter debuff for 20 minutes so said *** it...

When I have queued for 2 hours to get into vivec and get a group it’s fun if you ignore the lag in scale skirmishes and the game crashing when your just about to take a keep

The double ap I wish was permanent as it feels more rewarding when you take a keep and it didn’t crash on you so you lose out on earned ap

It’s nice to have more players in vivec as it’s been dying for awhile now, I think better ap rewards would make more people stay after the event

I don’t blame anyone just wanting to get their tickets and trying a keep capturing or skirmish

I blame Zos for not advertising the two new campaigns that people could have just used for ticket collections

You know they added more campaigns for this reason. It baffles me when people just que for vivec... THE WORST AND LAGGIEST CAMPAIGN TO EVEN GO INTO. But nope people don’t noticed the other campaigns which are infinitely better and just go in vivec and cry about long que’s.
I for one am enjoying my midyear expirience. My ball group decided to go into Malacath and rotate Emp’s with each other. Campaign is consistently active with 3 bar pop lock during prime time, amazing fights... little lag because we aren’t in the trash can known as vivec. It’s only day 3 and I already have earned 5 mil AP... same amount of people in malacath as vivec, just our que time gets to 30 AT MOST instead of 400+.
Less lag than vivec. So if you want to que for vivec and sit in a 400+ que when you know there’s other campaigns with the Same population and less lag in this event in particular. You have nobody to blame but yourself.

I’m not even trying for vivec, and even then I’m having the usual lagged cyrodill with 5 button presses for a single skill.

I am farming AP and getting what I came for in the event, but I’m not having as much fun as I have when cyrodill is not full and I can enjoy PvP without lag.

Got my two stam dps characters (both in Shor) up to caltrops and my healer up to warhorn. Job done, never going in there again.

I tried it out for the berries but then I realized I don't even have an Indrik Mount LOL.

Loads of fun, but I typically rather enjoy PvP.

You need to bear in mind though, this game, it's fun, but also terribly flawed.

this is how pvp on the Vivec server usually is, minus the extra q times. Of course, it's laggier as well when the servers are full.

Yea its pretty awfull here to ..
2 days in a row i've queued up from pos 300+ and had tthe queue freeze broken at pos 2 and pos 1
45 min at pos 1 i decide to relog and have to queue up again from pos 200+ over 7 hours queuing on 2 days

(yes i played a different campaign in the mean time BUT it lost me my gold rewards i was due as i wasnt able to defend my leader board pos as the event was done at a dumb time )

And then there is this lag.. wow .. no words those tipple cc's man .. ouch

Seriously though if the event was started at the start of the campaign then people would have moved but it was started before the campaign finished and will finish before the campaign ends, so people need to get and hold there position on the leader board.

Been queueing into the new campaigns, even non-CP, whatever has no load time. I've had fun testing some new builds. Overall, I'm really enjoying it.


Edited to add that I haven't really seen many problems, other than game chat being totally hosed.

I've been going to Shor. This morning it was pop locked but I was in in 10 minutes. Had a lot of fun......no lag or issues. Got my 40 kills and had a blast even though I died a lot in the process.

Not much at all.

Being sniped left right and centre, but the tbags have been juicy when they drop dead. Anyone who has snipe on their bar are a disgrace and I t tbag them indiscriminately until they respawn, pathetic thumbless zerglings.

Yup. Everyone forgets waiting for a 500 line que means everyone of those 500 could add numbers to malacath to make it another attractive option next to shor.

This is the comment equivalent of I’m being a stubborn sob. You don’t get *** from the leaderboard rewards. Btw Vivec has now finished. So thankfully you’re free to play any other campaign for the rest of the event.

Edit: “just slot purge” is a comment, so what I said can’t even be the comment equivalent. At best it might be the PvP event equivalent. Lmao.

Because I go to Cyrodiil with full set Divine , I am a pure PVE player ...

There are too many DPS sets I've collected , there is no inventory slot for 1 set IMPEN which I rarely use .

I feel bad for all of you. I've had multiple people die from a single heavy attack to rending slashes. It's like no one even told them to slot a heal. Yesterday I saw a group of 3 people dead on a resource, as I approached it the last person died while being attacked by one guard (idk if they managed to kill they others or they just hadn't respawned or something). It looked like they got 1v3'd by an NPC. I feel like the minute you enter Cyro for the first time, some plucky NPC needs to run up to and suggest you try slotting Vigor once you get it or suggest a few magicka options or even just health pots.

PvP has been awesome on NA PC Vivec (for me so far), no huge lag and no disconnects. I would recommend that you turn off your master merchant, destinations, harvest map addons before you go in, do the search for your name in guild roster thingie.. and have fun! And remember... everyone dies in Cyrodiil... it's not that big of a deal. Oh and being a mageblade (so you can sneak and cloak around) doesn't hurt..

Much to my surprise, I am enjoying it.

A couple of years back I'd tried Cyrodiil which was just a tedious horse-riding simulator, and so gave up on PvP. But this time, I rebuilt one of my chars for PvP and started running battlegrounds which I find to be fun, easily digestible chunks of PvP. No performances issues there, and even the finder is working, which I was most surprised about, given the car crash that was the Undaunted Event.

I've been playing in Sheogorath and Malacath in order to avoid queues. I had plenty of fun those times I could find a somewhat organized group to join. Usually one of the servers will have such a group.

But i do have the feeling that the new campaigns have a lower pop cap then the others. Even when they are locked its hard to find action.

AD was pop locked and only had 3 home keeps left. We capped one of the keeps with 5 ppl without anyone defending......

I've been having a fine time in Shor. I know Vivec is gonna be both extremely laggy and have a long af queue, so I won't bother with it.

I just do the daily bg quest. Havent done much pvp content so its the easiest option. Not even sure what vivec is

Not me, I hate pvp and never will do those events, I even stopped doing the pve events tbh just doing writs every day and accumulating gold for crown store purchases later in game
