If you could get another weapon line, what would you like to see?

As a magicka weapon - grimoire. A mage with a spell book, how cool can it be.

For stamina... I would like to see unarmed combat (hey, I'm khaijiit, why wouldn't I), but if I had to choose one over another, I'd give priority to mounted combat. Lances or cavalry swords, either would be great. ^^

We already heave 2 melee stam weapons 2h, dw, for dmg but only 1 for range and 1 for magicka.

For myself, while I would like Crossbows in the game more than the Fighter's Guild skill, I think that unarmed/hand-to-hand would be a better addition to the game.

This would require allowing us to equip spells without staves and that would then require an option for dual-wielding spells. I so hope to see this one day, especially it it means we finally get our magic schools properly implemented into the game. Also I want to play a spellsword char.

Second most wanted is spear and third is one handed.

The fact that this game still doesn't have spears is a crime against humanity. It's so awkward having a class skill line focused on holy spears but you cant even use a spear so your swords or mace just magically turn into a holy spear...

Spears have been desired in elder scrolls games since they removed them in oblivion.. give us spears!

I just want to be able to use dual wield and sword and shield with my magdk. Meaning as in it scales using magicka instead if stamina. I would also like sword and shield to be a viable dps combo and not just for tanking.

But I wouldn't mind having sword and rune also.

I picked One hand/Rune but a destruction staff that shoots cold fire(blue flames) or dark red glowing energy (color of nightblades powers) would be nice. Especially with the whole Necromancer class coming out.

The current combat mechanics make the actual weapon almost irrelevant. It's just a question of selecting a skill line, in order to use its abilities, which are essentially spells. To make the weapon itself significant you'd have to make a few changes:

1. Make the range of everything on the current bar match the weapon type. i.e. Ranged, polearm, short.
2. Do the same for the magic side, so a wand(?) delivers long-range like a bow, and staves do polearm distance. Bring back touch spells for the short range.
3. Make different weapons do distinct types of damage, the way staves do. Blades cut, hammers crush etc.
4. Do the same for armour/shields, so resistance can be specific to damage type.
5. Racial differences for weapon damage? Scales provide more cut resist, fur gives some crush resist, etc.
