Don't put all that stuff into your client then. They KNOW that stuff like this gets datamined asap.

They wouldn’t be the only devs that do this or implement placeholders to prepare for future dlc. It’s up to the community to act like they have some patience. At least leave some of it up to speculation rather than confirming it.

I think they count on datamining to further fuel the hype. If they want to keep all that stuff hidden they can hide it.
As far as I'm concerned, datamining is only a very short step removed from hacking. Fair enough, and if that's how some get their jollies then so be it but at least please leave it off public forums and keep it to yourselves. Those who are interested in such things will know where to find it. I would also hope that any threads leaking advance information will be deleted as promptly as some others are.

None ever are deleted though. Makes one wonder if the info isn't purposefully put there for dataminers to find and leak.

If enough people report such threads they may get deleted.
The problem is that you can't avoid them even if you want to. The first one may have a spoiler alert in the title but from then on every other thread will have giveaway information in the title so you can't get away from the information even if you don't read the thread.

THIS. Exactly. How on Hell someone has come to think that putting the formal announcement of the new chapter in something dataminable was a clever thing, [snip]?...

Because they have a expectation that people will follow the terms of service. Datamining is hacking the client which is a violation of TOS. Notice that dataminers are usually from places that is difficult for the tos to be enforced.
