Yeah, of course I am. That's literally the tanking skill tree of templars.

Because bare-skin for 80% of armor = well-designed protection... hahaha
Taking from the Sparta movie image in first comment ^
While I love the idea of being able to do more dmg, the protection is necessary when a relatively large amount of your abilities are channeled, meaning you're incredibly vulnerable while casting them. We're either damaging someone, or we're protecting ourselves and healing. There really isn't much in-between for Magplars.

https://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Empowering+Sweep : gives major protection already so yeah maybe even if Nova is better IMHO
https://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Radiant+Ward : really dude ? this is nerfed and no more used in any serious build
https://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Luminous+Shards : heal job not yours as a tank
https://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Explosive+Charge : cause you don't have any magika build in the group with https://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Crushing+Shock ?
So as a conclusion only https://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Empowering+Sweep is good all other are waste of slot and ressources, but the problem is that's an Utimate so not really a skill.
