Ravager+Bone Pirate is the classic, I had a lot of fun with that back in Morrowind. Personally I think there are better options out there but it’s still a great build. Medium is definitely the way to go on Stamplar though. The ideal way to run it would be 2 medium undaunted, Ravager weapons/chest/legs/necklace, BP gloves/belt/shoes/rings.

In regards to weapons, both Dual wield/2h and 2h/sword&board can work great, just a matter of wether you prefer high pressure or tankiness.

A stamplar in Murkmire? Boy or girl, you're in for a world of pain! Stamplars have gone pretty much extinct since Murkmire came out. I personally dropped mine completely.

Anyways, this is why what i'd run

    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=100336

The stamina recovery from bp is overkill. You get 480 stam recovery from the rune, and you get a lot of stamina as well from repentance. I don't see why anyone would ever use bone pirate over hulking or spriggan as a stamplar. The famous 2-3 well-fitted traits are overrated and make little difference, you're better off using all impen. Lastly playing a 2h/dw stamplar nowadays is pretty challenging and you should get ready to die a lot until you git gud  . Consider sword and board if you find yourself struggling too much.

Yea... love/hate ravager, don’t like playing around the proc. Dw/2h you’re not likely to have gap closer, speed has been nerfed. Gotta make your dmg stick, or be tankier.

Yea.. bone pirate allows you trait change jewelry to something more appealing like protective or infused.

After playing a magplar for years, I've been giving a 2h/bow stamplar a whirl. Very fun! Gear is Ravager, spriggins, and troll king. I'll probably give Impreg a go soon, too. Front bar is jabs, stampede, repentance, reverse slice, power of the light, dawnbreaker. Back bar is draining shot, extended, shuffle, rune, vigor. Very easy to stun with draining shot, then charge into with stampede, and do the basics. The roll dodge rapid passive is quite nice too. Hits very hard, though a bit squishy I guess. Poison arrow is another good skill in place of draining shot.

I always figured stamplar would be good running

    2piece bloodspawn
    5 nmg (body)
    5 pariah

Lots of ult regen, gives you the major fracture you miss, and lots of defense in 5 medium.
    PvP needs more love.

yea i hear ya on that, but how would stam sustain be? seems like recovery would be very low

Bloodspawn, ravager (double bar), automaton (front bar only), master DW axes backbar. Combination of infused/protective jewelry, medium armor. I would go 2 infused stamgen and 1 protective weapon dmg.

Couple of questions from a former magplar!

what do you guys think of shacklebreaker so I can also boost magicka?

I'm also unsure bout the scond set: Ravager, 7th legion, Spriggans, twice born star, hunding rage, acrobat?

Cleansing ritual is your only magicka ability as a stamplar so you don't need much magicka. Bp or hulking are the only 2 stat sets you should be looking at.

Out of those sets you mentioned i'd use Ravager, Spriggans, or Hundings. Automaton and Veiled are good, similar options too.

Acrobat is useless because stamplars don't struggle at all with sustain in pvp, especially not with restoring focus.

In my opinion TBS is only good if you use it with impreg and 7 divines. It's actually a very good setup, i ran it for a while last patch.

why would you run spriggan over night mothers gaze on a class that doesnt have access to major fracture unless you run 1hs pierce armor / ransack?
for the 2/3/4 pieces? sure ...
