The rewarding feeling when you successfully 1vX a group
1vX is the single most difficult, and therefore rewarding, content in the game. A tough 1vX against decent opponents pushes your mastery of a class, the build you are running, and the game in general to its limits. Solo PvP is the most wholistic demonstration of mechanics and performance in ESO. It leaves little room for error and often requires flawless execution. And that difficulty is why it’s so thrilling. Often a rough and grinding experience, you’ll spend a lot of time getting overwhelmed and beaten into the dirt. But the times you are able to pull out the win make it all worth it.

Besides the general ethos of the 1vXer, one thing I really enjoy in particular is the variability. No two fights are the same because there are so many variables at play: the player, the class, the build, the opponents, their builds, the location, the patch etc. A 1vX is like solving a puzzle with the tools at hand, and each one is different from the next. And I really enjoy that, because in doing so I get to see what my class and build is really capable of. It’s not just about wether or not you can solve the puzzle, but also how you do so. Because in answering that “how”, you gain a very special insight and understanding of the class.

As a heavy armor DK for a long time, this patch I made a build using 5 Medium and Shuffle, and I am having SO MUCH FUN OMG and because of the sets I'm using I have 25.5k health and like 1800 regen and it is beautiful ;_; I feel tanky without the crutch of heavy armor. I solo 90% of the time, and the reduction to AOE damage is really helpful, since as a solo DK I gotta sustain, heal, and do damage.

I suck at 1vX and pvp in general most of the time. I usually play the game with a nasty migraine or awful arthritis, so its fun to remember who did what and exactly how they killed me. When I encounter them again or often enough, even if its a zerg, I usually take far less damage and eventually cannot be killed by them anymore.

I move exactly one step out of skill range, exactly one step out of AoE, heal and block at the exact moment as warnings that I'm not playing around. Yet people don't seem to heed those warnings and keep trying to kill me; when they do I go on the offense. Never gets old.

I really don't care about winning and all my builds can be killed in a 1v1, I just like playing around. Since I use light armor on all of my PvP builds, all of them can die pretty easily without me rolling, blocking, and healing at the right moment. My enjoyment comes from finding a solution to win or survive large enemy encounters without proc sets or other cheese. I happen to find that solution very often.

It's also fun to test weird builds in PvP like this one in light armor that is surprisingly durable, at least if you don't mind heavy attacking + keeping magickasteal up and have the skill to make use of it...

S-Sorry, the rest is classified! Obviously required sacrifice and can't have someone find my weakness...At least not without using their head!
