Daily reward timer changed

The daily reward deadline was at 8pm EST for months, and now it's at 7pm EST.
I lost a day of reward (so some gold)...

Does eso's timers not account for Daylight savings??

    Apparently not. It's based on UTC, which doesn't do DST (bless them, please let the rest of us get RID OF DST....) So yeah, now, reward is at 5pm for me instead of 6. Doesn't matter for me, I just pick it up next day because I quit playing at 4pm.

    They do not (nor do GW2's) because they are based on a constant time (GMT? I think?). When the US's clocks change, so does the effective reset time.

    Their timer stayed the same. Your clock did not.
