I don't know but i think ZOS pressed my button for historical civilizations. Allowing us to return to the village post-quest whenever we want was a great move and i just really enjoy spending my time there. Walking the overgrown streets, remembering what it used to be, imagining what it will become now that the Tribe has been reestablished.

I know 2nd Era Argonians consider the age of "Stone-Nests" to have been a foolish mistake, but im still enthralled with how they used to be master stonemasons. I'm very curious what Gideon looks like since its an Ancient city that still exists.

Root Whisper needs a player home, even if its a small hut.

You can get to it pre-quest but its completely dead. no NPCs, no containers. Pretty but empty and dead. Does it get better post quest?

    Not much
There's a few people around you can talk to. A vendor, a daily quest giver. One side quest. But, it's all very static.

I don't remember there being any containers there.

I was hoping that the village might develop into something with a little more life in it as you do more quests to help them, but it doesn't. It doesn't even look as if it's really inhabited. TBH I find it a bit sad and empty.

Yep, there are NPCs. This is actually a place where I usually go to sell the crap I pick up, as there is a merchant very close to the wayshrine...
