Solution to Stam DK stamina regen

ZOS with murkmire introduced a 25% reduction in poison abilities in the world in ruin passive located on Ardent flame. As most Stam DKs out there probably understand that this will not solve anything and is instead a ridiculous way in giving us better sustain.

So I propose the easy solution to this and all it will take is literally reverting two changes

#1: Return helping hands back to it's original passive. Helping hands used to give you 5% of your max stamina per earthen heart skill usage; The reasoning for this nerf was literally and I am not trolling you but "This will be a buff if your Maximum Stamina is below 19,800 and a reduction if it is above."
That was literally the developer comment on Morrowinds patch notes.

#2: Return Battle Roar: back to it's original passive. The original battle roar passive used to give your more resources for your highest stat and less for your lowest. In ZOS eyes it was viewed as a buff but only if your max stat is below 26,000, "This will be a buff for each particular resource if your maximum is below 26,000, and a reduction if it is above."
Again that is literally the developer comment on Morrowinds patch notes.

These two changes along-side with the changes to combustion (IMO were pretty nice) would make sustaining a whole lot better and allow us to regain some of that offensive nature we used to have. Some Mag DKs may get mad at the helping hands change but ask yourself this, are you really spamming your earthen heart skill to get back 900 stamina? As Stam DKs we need more stamina since we use it for everything even attacking, when we lost that 5% change we lost a lot of sustained damage in PvP especially with battle roar changes since whether your magicka or stamina we always stacked our offensive resource to it's highest.

The reason for the nerf was to nerf the sustain and get rid of % stat things.
And the reason for the poison cost reduction was to give stamDK sustain that doesnt buff DK tanks sustain.

If you want to decrease your chance of being ignored from 100% to 99% I would suggest you to think within those two parameters.

Literally nowhere in their patch notes eludes to what you’re claiming other than nerfing sustain, so that’s cool.

So let’s take your opinion seriously.

Why wouldn’t they give a comparable value to what most Stam DKs received? They could’ve given 1500-2000 and that would’ve sufficed.

DK tanks in PvE weren’t even a problem and with the changes to sustain it’s gotten worse. PvP tanks were out of hand back when regen while blocking was a thing.

You think stamDk sustain is bad? I don't seem to have class-specific issues on mine (I play 2 stamDks in BG's almost every day). Honestly it feels pretty similar overall to the rest of my stam toons.

I forget where the thread is, but there is a DK build by one of the class reps. StaDK in pve, litterally has the LOWEST drain of any stamina class with the 25% cost reduction to stam skills. You can use literally 0 stam regen investment and sustain no problem.

You just need to use venomous claw as your spammable, take out anything out like flying blade or crushing weapon, they don't help.

Venomous claw's dot tick hits at 0.5 seconds, so every time you cast the ability it hits for the first tick + the direct damage for a cost of next to nothing and about the same damage as other spammables, the DoT will ALWAYS be up, you only lose the last tick of the DoT in a real rotation (gets the +7% dmg every tick).

Front bar: Rending Slash | Noxious Breath | Rearming Trap | Venomous Claw | FoO <Flawless Dawnbreaker>
Back bar: Poison Injection | Endless Hail | Razor Caltrops | Flex spot | Flex spot <Standard of Might>

Back bar flex spots:
Acid Spray (About the same dps in my tests)
Eruption for Magicka dump + minor brutality, weak dps, returns some stam - cast every other weapon swap
Igneous/Molten armaments
Whatever Else you want

Typically I found 3 skills back bar was the most reliable and best dps.

It's not like You're lying. You're just missing 1 important part of the notes that were also connected to the subject which is :

Restores based on the maximum resource pool - These abilities were simply too effective once you obtained a significant pool size.

Stamina dk redguard was one of the setups that abused strenght of that passives the most.

That one I'll admit definitely missed that one but that was indeed one of the reasons DKs were able to sustain back then at-least to the point they could be more offensive in PvP terms. PvE wise the only one who struggled back then and somewhat to this day is Mag DKs.

At the very least I think battle roar should still be returned as it's only accessible via an ultimate and it bases it off how big the ultimate is and greatly influenced your largest pool rather than trying to equally divvy up something you only had 8k-10k in.

doesn't really work that well in PvP sadly. Mostly because majority of poison abilities are in bow skill line and bow and stamDk has a terribad synergy in PvP.

What OP and many people does not understand is that zenimax does not want stamina Dk to be buffed in PvP, they're only buffing the sustain for pve stamDks, and so far it seems like they did a pretty good job at it. StamDk dps is pretty good once again. Meanwhile PvP performance tells a much different story with stamDk being the literal worst stamina class in the game.
