extreme lag in battlegrounds, pc eu

ok, so i’ve never had too many issues with lag in this game, my connection is fine, playing from england
until this patch...
in several BGs i’ve played my ping will be 999+, at best 300+, literally unplayable. skills not firing, unable to register a single roll dodge on time, etc.
but this affects everyone in the BG it seems.. everyone saying they have too much lag to be effective so no one cares who wins because everyone had the same issue
that was below 50 BGs, so i log out to see if over 50 is the same, and when i finally get a round (broken queue lol) it’s actually playable.
why does this only affect certain BGs? why is this happening

✭✭This is not limited to BGs, several trials and dungeons happen to be laggy for all players inside. It's definitely tied to the instances themselves, as it effects all players at once, very often bugging NPCs heavily and usually happens from the start of said instance.
Whatever is used to create the instances better be flawless from the start, otherwise you good to reset it.PC EU - Zahraji of the Void, aka "Kitty", the fluffiest salmon genocider in town.

✭Cyrodiil yesterday Vivec PC EU, heavy lagging untill game stopped responding and some of my group (incl. me) were kicked to logging screen.
