Cyrodil save question

I was doing delves in Cyrodill yesterday when I finally quit playing. When I signed on today it started me at the last location I was in outside of Cyrodill. Can you not save in there?

All delves will put you outside them when you log in even the ones outside cyrodiil.

Ok, thanks. Did this put me back to PvE land because I was in ‘enemy’ territory?

No, because you were in Cyrodiil.

The Cyrodiil campaigns use a managed population system, so you can't, "hold," a slot in a campaign by logging out in there. It would allow for some serious ****ery, if you could. So, when you log back in, you'll get bumped back to the outside world.

If you are in a underpopulated campaign you most definitely can "save" your delve; I've done it countless times when going for Emperor.
Heck I've done it in popular campaigns too but it'll only work if there's space and no queue.

You’re normally placed outside the delve. If the instance you were in is no longer avaialable. Which is usually the case if you don’t reconnect within an hour or so. Same would apply to something like a public or group dungeon. As for being placed back in PvE, see other commenter’s answer on that.

Yeah, instances don't remain active when no one's in them. So if you log out in an instance, you can get booted outside if it's spun down since you logged.
