Mac Client FrameRate Issue

I don't think i'm the only one with this problem as several I know have expressed the same issue.
Since the update, framerates on the Mac client have been seriously bad. They used to be 50 to 70 fps, now it's 30fps with dips into 8fps when enemies or multiple things appear.
- I turned graphics all the way down to low and everything off and the same issue.
- I disabled all add-ons and same issue
I think something with the new Metal implementation maybe? I normally run graphics on high and have 2018 hardware.
Radeon Pro 560, 3.1GHz Core i7, 16Gb RAM.
